SUMAS, Wash., Sept. 20, 2017 /PRNewswire/ — RVT.com, the leading online classifieds site for new and used RVs for sale, announced that its RV shopper traffic increased more than 44% in June-August 2017 compared with the same period in 2016, and that RV buyer inquiries jumped 68% as well.
RVT.com reported that its website had almost 3 million unique visitors from June through August 2017 from RV shoppers in the U.S. and Canada. Buyer email and phone-in leads during this time period totalled approximately 125,000. The largest traffic increases came from California and Texas.

According to the Recreation Vehicle Industry Association (RVIA), RV shipments are expected to hit their highest level ever in 2017. The RVIA said that consumer confidence has risen with the economy and that a new demographic with a hunger for camping — millennials — has contributed to the growth.
A 2017 North American Camping Survey from KOA noted that millennials make up 38% of campers overall. According to the RVIA, millennials invest primarily in trailers for weekend excursions; trailers now account for 87% of RV units sold.
