“The current state of the RV market combined with our extensive search engine optimization, dynamic re-marketing, pay-per-click campaigns, and mobile friendly content has caused a significant increase in visitor traffic,” said Shawn Friesen, vice president of RVT.com. “If the current traffic trend continues, 2017 will be another record breaking year for RV consumer visits, and ultimately sales for our RV dealer customers.”
Friesen noted that mobile users accounted for 55% of RVT.com visitors during the first month of 2017. Smartphone traffic accounted for 32% of visitors — up 1% from last year — and tablets were used for 23% of visits, up 2% from January 2016. Visitors using desktop computers to access RVT.com in January 2017 accounted for 44% of total traffic to the website.
