When RV buyers research RV models, they want to know about important items like overall quality, floor plans, and drivability or towability—basically they’re asking ‘how good is this RV and will it suit me and my family?’ Asking questions about specific Makes & Models helps buyers make informed purchase decisions before they choose their family’s next mobile vacation unit.

So, we counted up the number of buyers who are asking dealers (and/or private sellers) about the various RV Makes & Models we have listed for sale on RVT.com—using the theory that the units buyers ask about most could be seen as ‘highly sought after’ in the market.

Introduction

Travel trailers are the most popular type of non-motorized RVs, prized for their convenience, easy maintenance, versatility, and fun. They come in all shapes and sizes from tiny towables to massive homes-on-wheels. Can you boondock in them? Check. Do they have most of the comforts of home? Check. Is it possible to live in them? Check.

There are towable trailers to fit almost every budget, offering a variety of floorplan options, including bunkhouses and rear kitchens. Many have slide outs which expand your living space. Travel trailers can be towed by a variety of vehicles, depending on their size and weight. And once you arrive at your campsite, you simply unhitch and use your vehicle to get around.

These are the Top 5 travel trailers that RV buyers have inquired about most with our Dealers and Private Sellers:

Keystone Springdale

2021 Keystone Springdale 260BH

Keystone RV Company, founded in 1996, is based in Goshen, Indiana. In 2001, Keystone was purchased by industry giant Thor Industries. Keystone RVs are some of the most popular in the world and they’re one of the largest producers of travel trailers and fifth wheels. Springdale travel trailers come in a variety of sizes, floor plans, and price ranges to suit your lifestyle and budget. We checked RV consumer reviews at our partner, RVInsider.com to see what Keystone Springdale owners are saying about their RVs:

2018 Keystone Springdale 280BH: We have had our camper for about a year in half and absolutely love it. We use it a lot we camped out most weekends last summer as well as several weeks visiting family .We love that it has a great layout lots of storage space. I love the huge closet. We have only had one big repair since owning it and that was to the water pump got it fixed and that was it. The outdoor kitchen had shelf that pulled out and it did break our 2nd trip out but we completely removed it and use that area for storage which we tend to like better. My husband loves the electric jacks and tongue. Overall we are very satisfied with our camper.
– Jessica, Missouri

2017 Keystone Springdale 189FLWE: We have taken out the trailer several times over the last few years. When dry camping the tanks had great capacity allowing a family of 4 to be out for 4 days including Navy showers each day. We used a 20amp generator on a few adventures and it handled the load pretty well. We also had a few occasions to do full hook up and it was great. There is a good amount of storage space within the trailer. Kitchen area was livable Appliances did a great job. We love to get out camping and taking the trailer makes it even better.

Grand Design Imagine

2021 Grand Design Imagine 2670MK

In 2012, Grand Design RV was born out of a vision to create a different type of RV company. Today, Grand Design is one of the fastest growing manufacturers in the industry. The Grand Design Imagine is one of their most popular models, a lightweight trailer available in several floorplans and sizes. We took a look on RVInsider.com to see what actual Imagine owners had to say about their RV:

2018 Grand Design Imagine 2950RL: This is my first travel trailer purchase. I purchased it new from a local Grand Design dealership. We had been in search of an RV for quite a while. It is just my wife and I primarily in the coach. The open rear living is spacious and comfortable. Well laid out with nice fixtures and entertainment center. Roomy kitchen area with well built appliances. The bathroom is a bit small but definitely maximized the use of the space. And all the plumbing fixtures were of a better quality than most other RV’s. The bedroom is a bit small but still utilized the space with plenty of storage in the bedroom and throughout the rv as well. I towed the RV with a superduty truck and definitely had no issue. A half ton pickup is capable of handling it as well. With a good stabilizer bar it will tow quite effortlessly and safely. …The one thing I had a gripe about was the factory mattress in the master bedroom. Replaced it due to being uncomfortable. I would personally rate this travel trailer a 4.5 out of 5. It is a very nice and roomy couples coach.
– Billy, South Carolina

2017 Grand Design Imagine 2150RB: Well built, comfortable & attractive. Very easy to tow, quick to set-up and pack-up. Systems are all very straight forward. Lives more like a small condo then a trailer. The back bathroom & shower are huge. Couldn’t ask for a better trailer. It was difficult getting some small warranty work done while out on the road (that seems to be a problem with all RV’s) I Highly Recommend Grand Design!!!

2020 Jayco Jay Flight 34RSBS: Love everything about this RV. Very easy to pull. Lots of storage. Not to mention it’s pretty. However when we received it gas to refrigerator didn’t work and doors stuck. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.
– Linda, Iowa

2015 Jayco Jay Flight 23MB: Great trailer. Solid the whole five years we’ve owned it. Easy to tow as it’s lighter weight. It has a newer appearance inside the trailer with cream and light brown color hues. The wraparound dining table has been really nice for four to six people. The memory foam queen bed is very comfortable and it’s really convenient for the kids to be able to bring friends because there are full size bunks. The couch has the ability to lay down into a bed or be used as a couch which has been nice when watching movies with the family.

According to their website, Prime Time Manufacturing has earned over 20 prestigious DSI Quality Awards presented annually by the Recreational Dealers of America. The Prime Time Avenger is a popular, economical travel trailer which features a variety of models and sizes, including LE and LT editions. We took a look at RVInsider.com to see what actual Prime Time Avenger owners say about their units:

2017 Prime Time Avenger 32BIT: This travel trailer offers much more than expected. Extremely comfortable and roomy. I like the privacy of the 2 bedrooms and all of the features. Lots of items you’d normally only find in higher end RVs like a kitchen island, 50 amp service, leather and contemporary trim, etc.
– Marc , Texas

2016 Prime Time Avenger 18TH: Perfect for two. Love off road camping. Bed is a bit small but everything else is great. Love the electric awning and electric hitch. Has full size appliances and good bathroom space. Axels were low but after flipping them it can go everywhere. Like the 2 batteries and 2 5 gallon propane tanks. Heats up and cools off fast!

Heartland Wilderness

2020 Heartland Wilderness 2500RL

Heartland began in 2003 when a lead engineer, a product and sales manager, a marketing professional, facilities manager and a successful entrepreneur joined forces after working in the RV industry for other manufacturers. Today, Heartland is an industry-leading manufacturer and a proud division of Thor Industries, Inc. The popular Heartland Wilderness is a full-featured trailer in a smaller, lighter package. Oversized windows let in plenty of natural light, along with spectacular views of the great outdoors. Here are what some Heartland Wilderness owners are saying on RVInsider.com:

2018 Heartland Wilderness 2725BH: Bought this Wilderness 2725BH new from Gibbs RV in Waco Texas 18 months ago. Have had no problems with this RV. Tows easily with our F150 3.5 eco boost. This trailer offers a lot of amenities at a really great price. The outdoor kitchen is a definite plus.
– Neil, Texas

2016 Heartland Wilderness 2875BH: We love our Heartland Wilderness 2875BH. It’s extremely easy to tow with a 3/4 ton truck, but your F150 can pull it as well, the mountain passes will be a little slow though. The floor plan on this camper works awesome. We didn’t use the exterior bathroom door as much as we thought and I would side towards having the outdoor kitchen included instead of this feature. The two slides are a game changer and the center island in the kitchen makes it possible for two people to be preparing and cleaning up from meals.
