Great RV floor plans can make all the difference in lengthier RV trips; from the way everything logically flows to how easy it is to move around during a rest stop without needing to pull out any slides.
Using consumer review data from our partner RVInsider.com, we’ll be focusing on the highest consumer ratings for the floor plan score. In order to give you a better feel of the layout, we’ve included both review excerpts and videos. Let’s take a walk.
Class A – Diesel

“Took it on a 8000 mile trip right after purchasing and really impressed us with the amount of room and the livability of this. It was our first RV and it really set the bar high. Biggest bathroom I’ve seen in one. Large enough for a baby “pack n play” while driving down the road with the door closed. Would definitely do this again.” – James, Florida
“I have owned this RV for 6 years and enjoyed every vacation in it. Once the slides are deployed there is plenty of space to live and/or entertain guests. The side aisle makes the sleeping area more private.” – Daniel, Ontario
“The 2 bathrooms are wonderful, along with the huge amount of closets and large basement. We have loved this MH dearly.” – Gilles, Alabama

“The floor plan is ideal – it allows access to the bath room area even when the slides are in. The galley is very well positioned – close to all of the appliances, the dinette, pantry and sink.” – Dale, Maryland
“Loved the spaciousness of kitchen (counter tops, storage, U-shaped design), love the living/dining room area, very spacious, sat 8 comfortably for dinner with some room to spare. Love that it “feels” like a living room, great for entertaining, or ample space for floor exercises.” – Sharon, Arizona

Class B

“We love the floor plan which allows us to have a living room atmosphere during the day and a dedicated queen bed for sleeping. The best thing is the full sized bathroom across the back which gives us an enclosed shower that is competitive with most class A’s and is roomy enough for me to dry my hair without my elbows banging against the wall.” – Charles, Pennsylvania
“I love opening the back doors and having the huge screen..feels like I’m outside while sleeping! The front lounge works for one who wants to work and the other who wants to sleep.” – Susan, California

“The interior is spacious and well thought out.” – Alex, Florida
“This RV has been great for trips with the kids and trips as a couple. There is enough room to easily accommodate five, but it is not overwhelming for a trip for just two.” – Kristin, New Mexico

Travel Trailer

“We are impressed with the well thought out design and obvious quality of this unit. No space is wasted.” – Jim, Minnesota
“Great floor plan with panoramic views from both bedroom and dining area.” – Mike, Washington
“The first Airstream that my wife and I walked through was the Flying Cloud 19CB and we were immediately impressed with the overall use of space and usability of this model. We looked at larger floor plans and the Sport series and came right back to the 19CB, this was the one. This model we think, is the ultimate model for user flexibility, you won’t find any wasted space and it “lives” very large and efficiently.” – Taylor, Texas

5th Wheel

“We lived in it about 6 months, through summer and into the winter months. It was great, plenty of room in the living and kitchen area.” – Robert, Texas
“Great trailer with loads of storage. Good layout with a seperate bedroom – very large closet and large dresser with six drawers. Seperate bathroom – can closed off from both the living space and bedroom space if need be. Perfect for living in. Sleeps four if you need it too, but just the right size for a single person or couple who need it for a home.” – S Young, Nevada
“Great floor plan. When stopping on the road for lunch, this layout allows access to the refrigerator, pantry, microwave, and dinette table without opening the slides. You can access the roomy bathroom from the bedroom as well as the hallway.” – Robert, Michigan
