With the coming introduction of two new diesel models, Thor Motor Coach continues to supersize Class C motorhomes to meet the demands of RV buyers for greater space and comfort.
Featuring attractive body designs and new aerodynamic features, Thor’s muscular new Chateau and popular Four Winds 2014 “Super C” motorhomes are sure to garner plenty of attention when they make their debut at the California RV Show scheduled to be held October 11-20, 2013 at Gate 9 of the LA Fairplex in Pomona, California.
Thor initiated the trend toward supersizing moderately sized RVs with the debut of its first self-designated “Super C” diesel motorhome, the original 33SW model in its popular Four Winds line. Built on a Ford F-550 chassis and equipped with heavy-duty, 6.7-liter, 300 HP diesel engines, Thor’s Super C’s fill a void in the Class C motorhome market, offering RV buyers the extra amenities and power many felt were lacking in the Class C motorhome’s typically more compact over-the-cab configuration.
By supersizing it basic Class C motorhome, Thor has been able to offer supersized amenities, including a king-size Denver Mattress sleep system in the bedroom, an oversize pantry, an 18 cubic-foot refrigerator, a 30-inch microwave, a split bathroom and a spacious lounging area in the middle of the coach with an optional 50-inch flat-screen TV and premium sound system.
In choosing which special features and upsize amenities to include in its two new Super C models, Thor paid attention to feedback from buyers of its original 33SW Super Cs. The new models offer a more spacious and flexible interior design, larger towing capacity and improved driving comfort.
If you’re in the market for a motorhome, Thor’s diesel Super C motorhomes are worth considering. On RVT.com you’ll find both used Super Cs and Thor’s hot new 2014 models.
