We are selling our 2012 Roadtrek SS Agile (144" wheel base) because, even though it is loaded with clever storage space, we need more wiggle room. We just replaced it with a Pleasure Way TS, on the MB Sprinter 170" wheelbase. We purchased the Agile in September 2017 from a private owner and have driven it approximately 18,000 miles. It is a perfect all-around vehicle. We use it as a second vehicle for shopping trips and around town. The beauty of this vehicle is that it fits into any parking space. That means we can go anywhere with it. This is the feature we most struggled with giving up. And, just so you know, you cannot take a vehicle longer than 20' on the Road-to-the-Sun in Glacier National Park! We've been on many twisting, turning, steep mountain roads and this honey of a camper-van does it all. We love the MB Diesel engine and trust it to take us anywhere. They call it the million-mile engine.
We have a clean title and you can drive it home today and go camping tomorrow.
We obtained a CarFax when we purchased the vehicle and can make it available to you. The CarFax showed all required service, and did not report any accidents Full Disclosure here....in April 2018 we backed into the RoadTrek while parked in our driveway. Yup, we did. We replaced the grille and the right front fender. The only evidence of the damage is a wrinkle in the bumper. See photo of the bumper.
OK, so what's wrong or missing? Other than the bumper wrinkle?
The ashtray sleeve is missing from the cup holder (we just discovered this).
The matching granite sink cover/cutting board had a crack in it, so we glued a piece of plexiglass to the back to stabilize it.
There are some small hail dings in the hood (we didn't even see them when we bought it), and a ding where a small tree branch hit it while parked in our driveway. See photo of the hood.
The front seats showed visible wear when we purchased it. There are no tears, but the material is dry and flaking. In April 2019 we installed custom seat covers for the two front seats ($480). They fit amazingly well and look like original upholstery.
The refrigerator door was always hard to open and after replacing the latch, discovered that the hinges were damaged. In August 2018, we replaced the door ($1,000...ouch!).
All interior finishes and cabinets are in excellent shape; we have never used the shower, so it's like new.
The Agile has been serviced at the Knoxville MB Dealer and we have all of our service records. The tires were replaced at 40,000 and still have good tread. See tire photos.
We love this camper. We have been camping for over 45 years, beginning with Fiat Spyder and a tent. Graduated to a 1965 VW Camper (wish we still had that one), and several VW Campers since, including a Rialta camper on a VW Eurovan chassis. This Roadtrek Agile is a gem. All the comforts in a small, strong, go anywhere, roadworthy chassis. OH, and we have consistently gotten 20 MPG!
