The Ascent’s living quarters are very well-designed and constructed on a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter chassis. This means we benefit from Mercedes' exceptional engineering in terms of crashworthiness, safety, and reliability, which we viewed as being far superior to an after-market build by an RV manufacturer. It also features advanced driver-assist technologies such as blind-spot protection, 360 degree cameras displayed on a large 10 inch touchscreen, lane-keeping assist, active distance assist, crosswind assist, attention assist, active brake assist and more. Its 6-cylinder, 7-speed, automatic diesel engine, known for its durability, performance, and efficiency, guarantees a reliable journey for years to come. Versatility: The Ascent’s design makes it ideal for exploring without limitations. Maneuverability is a breeze, making city driving stress-free. U-turns are effortless, and the option to park or stealth camp virtually anywhere is invaluable. This Ascent is equipped with a robust lithium-ion battery system designed to provide ample power for the coach's electrical systems, appliances, and electronics. The battery system can be charged in multiple ways: by the RV's engine alternator while driving, through the 200-watt solar panel system on the roof, the Onan 2500 LP generator, or via a 110-volt shore power connection. Whether you are boondocking in a remote location or staying at a well-equipped RV park, this battery system ensures you have the necessary power for lighting, heating, cooling, and operating various appliances. Although we prefer to be minimalists, the RV has plenty of overhead storage and the trailer hitch offers additional storage options if needed. As Marriott elite members, we often opted to include a one night a week Marriott stay in our plans to enjoy those amenities on our extended journeys.
Living Quarters: Despite its compact stature, the Ascent is fully equipped with all necessary amenities: a kitchen with a fridge, countertop, stove, a microwave/convection oven, and a pull-out pantry and kitchen cabinets/drawers; a bathroom with a shower and instant-on hot water; a 24 smart TV with Bose soundbar; and a very comfortable queen-sized, memory foam bed. The rear power sofa transforms into a well-appointed mobile workstation, featuring a massive window for scenic views, rear seatbelts for safety, and a built-in WiFi hotspot, making it ideal for facilitating remote work on the road.
Drivability: The Ascent is not only fuel-efficient for an RV but also practical enough to be used as a daily driver. Its elevated stance and large windshield enhance visibility for both road hazards and scenic views. The reflective white exterior helps maintain visibility and reduce heat absorption on sunny days.
Connectivity: The built-in WiFi hotspot and a sophisticated smartphone app provide remote access to a suite of vehicle functions, including status updates, remote lock/unlock capabilities, remote vehicle location, tire pressure monitoring, service history, and geofencing.
This meticulously cared-for Ascent, less than a year old with under 18,000 miles, is in mint condition and has been upgraded with FormulaOne Stratos window film, a premium nano-ceramic window tint that provides maximum UV protection and heat rejection, safeguarding the RV while enhancing interior comfort.
