Travel in style, or take up full time residence in the renowned Newmar Dutch Star. This luxury coach is built on a Freightliner chassis and powered by an 8.9L Turbocharged Cummins 400 horsepower engine. Power is managed by the Allison M3000 six speed transmission. It pulls my Toyota 4Runner up hills like it’s not even there. Downhill speed is controlled with the two stage engine brake. This coach drives like a dream with the adjustable comfort wheel settings and power adjustable drivers and passenger seats. Enjoy listening to your favorite music with the Kenwood in dash stereo and custom speakers. Drive with confidence using the turn signal cameras to see if the lane is clear and the rear view color camera to check on your tow.
When you’ve arrived at your destination setting up camp is a breeze with the one touch hydraulic leveling system. Pull your 50 amp power cord off the powered reel and know your hardwired line conditioner will keep your appliances and electronics safe. The two power awnings on the passenger side of the coach provide ample shade. Two smaller pulldown awnings also offer shade. You can activate the electric heating elements on the Oasis Hydronic heating unit or if you want to save electricity light the diesel fueled burner and enjoy hot water and a heated floor on those cool mornings. The two rooftop heat pumps will keep you cool when you need it and at night they can also heat your rig. Towards sunset you’ll appreciate the LED lighting throughout the coach.
If you like to dry camp that’s no reason to not enjoy all the features on board because the 8Kw Onan diesel generator and the 2000 Watt inverter will power everything the same as if connected to shore power. Just actuate the generator with the mounted switch on the control panel in the dashboard. The water pump has control switches in the kitchen, bathroom and the outdoor appliance panel. Enjoy the convenience of the galley with a propane fueled two burner cooktop and a microwave/convection oven. Fix yourself a cold drink with ice from the ice-maker in the large 4 door Dometic refrigerator. Kick back and relax listening to the Sony stereo, or watch a movie on the CD/DVD player. You’ll appreciate the privacy of your coach with the powered shade up front and the pull down black out shades. Your coach is secure when you lock your storage compartments with the flick of a switch and if you need to access them at night another switch turns on their lights. Patio and courtesy lights ensure you know what’s going on outside.
This coach is well appointed and everything works as designed. Refer to the specifications sheet for a detailed list of all the features. There is also a 2014 Toyota 4Runner Trail Edition fully set up for flat towing. This is a very capable 4 wheel drive with 90,253 miles on the odometer.
