Very well maintained, super clean, mechanically sound, everything works as far as I know. Non-smokers. BamBam (the name we gave the van, stitched on the dash cover) lives in a barn when not out on the road. Recent changes in life have left us with less opportunities to travel, so we feel it’s time to pass the van on to someone with more opportunities to enjoy it.
This is an amazing travel van … one of the best ways to travel in comfort and style, with the option to camp as desired. This unit has a compressor fridge and separate freezer, microwave/oven combo, wet bath and induction cooktop. There is a propane Onan generator. The Carefree of Colorado awning is in great shape with no issues. Has a built-in AM/FM/Bluetooth sound system in the rear that also integrates with the TV. Van does have the mechanical sliding side door and running boards for easy in/out. The XD dually makes for a very stable, comfortable ride … no buffeting from large vehicles at highway speeds in this model. This is very much the height of luxury and attracts lots of compliments.
A few updates/upgrades:
- Rear-door mounted Thule bike rack
- Clear bra on front end and above windscreen
- Replaced stock horn with dual-horn unit
- Pedal Box 2.0 installed
- Removed DVD player and updated TV
- Halogen headlights replaced with Merc Benz LED units
o Did not reprogram, old lights available
- AGM house battery replaced with Lithium Relion LT 100
o Solar charger upgraded to support new battery type
- Stock Merc speakers upgraded with new amp, speakers and box sub
- Front tires replaced 7/2023 due to tread separation.
- Water heater replaced 7/2023
- 1/2025 Mercedes MBUX drive replaced, full Mercedes checkup passed all green
