Really wish we had not gone with this RV. The quality of the interior is subpar. There is absolutely no quality control at Grand Design and I know this because we have had 4 major issues since purchase 6 months ago that would not have happened had they had a QA department. Never again.

Best fifth wheel for price compares to the high end luxury units. The attention to fit and finish is second to none. Storage could be bit larger but then you just haul more and bedroom a foot wider. Grand design may have the best customer relations on the market. It is a full time unit as well.

So where do I begin, I recently owned a 2018 a solitude 375RES by Grand design. I've been researching fifth wheels for quiet some time and the 375RES had everything my wife and I was looking for, luxury, separate living areas and the most shortage that I have yet to find in other fifth wheels. I would definitely recommend this unit In fact if you read the beginning I said I recently owned one after my first long trip I had an accident and total this unit so I went back to researching and I still can not find another fifth wheel to meet all my needs except this model so I will soon will be purchasing my second solitude 375RES

i have looked at a lot of 5th wheels and bar none this model is amazing. Every detail for long term living is met and is a very high tech unit. We went from our home to this and living in this unit is more comfortable than our house and everyday is a holiday. If your looking to move out of your bank sucking mortgage and into easy living then this is the model you want hands down!!! Thx grand design!! LOTS OF STORAGE!! SUPER FANCY!!

We purchased a momentum 349m . We ordered it so we could have the way we wanted it full body paint and all . Well this has been the biggest disappointment of any rv we have ever owned . They base there whole advertising format on quality and 250 point inspection. I would terminate the people doing the inspection if this is true . So the camper was built and delivered , we’re going through inspection and the paint finish is terrible looked nice from a distance. You get up close fish eyes , spots and runs in the finish every where. So the take it back to Indiana and repaint it , it takes six weeks !!! They supposedly do another inspection. We go pick the camper up looks good . Now we’re ready for camping . Turn on ac the one doesn’t work at all . Take it back to dealer there was a ground wire not connected ( thought we had this 250 point inspection process ) oh and by the way the dealer is seventy miles from our house . Now our first camping trip , extend the awning and led light doesn’t work in main awning ( thought we had this 250 point inspection process ) . There wasn’t cable access in camp ground so we rented a dvd awesome picture on tv we have the Rockford sound system upgrade and it sounds good one hour into the movie picture freezes ( unbelievable) eject it and now it will not load let it cool down or whatever it needs to do several hours then it will play . It did this for four nights and four different dvds , the the hot water handle on bath faucet started making terrible squeaking noise ( plastic junk ) none of our other campers did this . Had to take it back to dealer to get repaired on the way back left rear tail light on camper quit working probably a poor wiring connection. So we have owned the rv for four months and it had been at the dealer or manufacturer for seven weeks and counting , this is very disappointing and misleading when the format is based on quality and inspection process , that was why we bought the rv on that advertisement and paid for it in full .we have had more problems with this camper then all of our other campers combined this is our sixth one . My personal experience should have stayed with a keystone product oh well .

bought February, used 3 times, July 5th trip ref would'nt work. took to dealer the 13th. Following Friday picked up RV after service manager said parts would be in by the 25th, took camper back in August 2,service manager said they had to take pictures and send to GD so they could approve warranty work.called GD service, same run around. Now maybe fall before we gets parts. save all your coolers if purchasing a GRAND Design.

First and foremost we love the layout of the 2950RL and are looking forward to our 1st trip next weekend.
Nothing major but we Picked up our new camper on July 7 and was told by dealer that the fire place unit was bad. No worries 6 screws and a plug in cord. Seal under curb slide pulled away from 3 screws on unit. Again dealer fixed. Dealer had to install additional hinges on the draws in kitchen area as the factory slide latches were pretty weak and would not hold draws in.
Lastly some of the corner molding and facia cover on bed frame was never completed. Fixed corner molding and nailed down facia. What ever they use to cover all the nail heads in bedroom is black and we got this stuff all over the mattress before we realized where it was coming from. Cleaned all the wood seems good now.
Will let you know how our trip goes.

After owning several TT's in the past, and never heard of GD, we were sold on the design and supposed excellent manufacturing of the units. The sales people really know how to glamorize the warranties and special designs but, the purchase was less than stellar as the it starts with the poor CS support from the dealer. We did a brief inspection at the dealer (mainly to take measurements) prior to our pickup on Valentine's day and, the items that were needing fixed, were not even touched for pdi. The walk through was so bad that we had to explain functions to the sales an delivery people as they didn't know anything about how to use some features, for instance, connecting and testing the water heater, and remotes for the tv and fireplace. As a customer, they should be so knowledgeable about what they are selling and be able to answer our questions, not the other way around. The first trip out was this past weekend and we have written a list of defects that were not addressed prior to delivery and the dealer is less than compliant to returning calls and scheduling repairs. The kitchen slide has water leaking on the floor every time it goes in and out (we live in a rainy area), and trim pieces around the doors are not securely attached.
We like the overall layout of the trailer but the poor quality and workmanship of some of the components is less than desirable. We know that rv's are going to come with issues, just like a car, because they are moving around and things shift, but the dealer should be responsible for a thorough inspection upon receiving from the factory, and fix the problems before they hit the sales floor. We are hoping tat we don't run into major problems where we need to use the major warranties, but time will tell. I read the reviews, good and bad, and I believe it all comes down to the dealer and their representation of the products. Know what you're selling and own up to the truth. It is a large chunk of change we shell out and should expect better quality and support for our purchases.

Love the trailer!!!
Issues:
Refrigerator/Freezer hold open door clips suck!!
They will not stay on during travel and we have had to crawl around on the floor to find them....found under the couch and cupboard drawer!!!
Water leak on our first trip on our bedroom floor during a rain storm....side water fill valve not sealed properly.
Exterior side molding....two screw heads broke off!!!
Requested info about recommended bike rack and bumper load capacity and received NO response from your home page web site.
Rear window seal is loose and two windows will NOT lock!!!

This is so modern and bright. I can't think of anything negative about it. It has the largest bathroom we had seen in any pull trailer. The flooring, countertop and table are really pretty. The LED lighting is fantastic, we didn't have to worry about battery life when not plugged in. I loved the black water tank flush! A lot of storage. The recliners have a heater option so when it was a cool morning it was nice to have that on for awhile watching TV with my coffee. If I had anything negative it would only be that it was too small when we had 3 or more grandkids with us, not enough sleeping room. That is why we bought another and needed to sell this one.

We bought a 26” Imagine trailer in August 2017 and find it comfortable and very livable or two people. The floor plan
suits our needs. We bought a Grand Design because they have
a reputation for higher quality construction. Since August, we have had a recall notice for the air conditioner (fire hazard), two handles pulled off the gray water tanks, a molding strip fell off, the bedroom door cane off the tracks, and the bathroom drawer fell apart. The boards covering the dining and bedroom storage areas are so rough cut that we get splinters. Although most of this is small stuff, we expected better. So it’s a mixed bag. We enjoy the trailer, but construction is not what it should be.

I ORDERED a 2500RL from Alpine Haus in port jervis NY.I requested to the salesman that the toilet be changed to a composting toilet and black tank be changed for additional fresh water. Also ordered an extra 40" TV for BR. The salesman said He would have it done. As of today I cancelled My deposit since I have not heard from salesman. I called last week and this week and received voice mail. They never returned any of My calls. If this is their customer service now , I can't imagine if there was a problem with unit and I had to have it serviced or repaired. I contacted BBB and they have several complaints even though they are not a member. Oh well I guess I will purchase a lance all season{ A+ rating with BBB) and or an artic fox

We upgraded to a Grand Design Imagine 2500 RL You won't find a better price or a well designed trailer any where. A quality built Trailer, no junk here. One fantastic huge bathroom with large shower stall. Pocket doors on both sides provide privacy from master bedroom and family room area. I ordered a foam topper for the queen bed. Great sleeping. I recommend the sofa couch which converts into a large bed. U shaped dining also converts into a large bed for two. The well designed floor plan affords great live-ability. Combined grey water tanks 78 gallons. Great specs. UVW is 5857 pulled by my 2011 Dodge Ram 1500 Laramie 5.7 Liter with E2 hitch pulls with ease for a 29.9 foot trailer. Tons of storage in and out. The 21 foot awning operates efficiently and provides a lot of shade. I can't list all of the nice features here but check it out. Our first shake down camping trip was fantastic. Looking forward to next one in August at Huntington Beach State Park. I gave one star for manufacturer support because it is too early to evaluate with only two months of ownership.

The reason I bought this camper was because it was a four-season camper I got it home took the belly pan off on the bottom it sure looks like it was insulated well until you pull the Belly off they say an r 40 in the floor I don't think a piece of plywood is R40 I was lied to there is no way this is a 40 no insulation whatsoever between the belly pan and the floor everything would be froze if you took this out in the cold you would freeze your ass off in any type of cold weather this is supposed to be a quality built RV looks to me like you got a bunch of meth heads putting s*** together screws 1/2 in screws stripped trim coming off the shower door is a total piece of s*** very unhappy with my reflection only owned it for 1 month so far I'm going to see what I can do about being lied to about the R40 I would have bought a Jayco if I'd known that also says GVW on the rig is 89-75 what blows me away the axles are only 4400 pound axles RV is total s*** looks good on the surface can stand tall in it very pretty designs I'd like anything you got to have a good foundation mrs. Total s*** the steel I beams in the back look like they were rusted before they were painted and then put in the camper very disappointed I have to insulate the whole bottom of the belly pan myself When someone tells you are 40 you're thinking there should be some type of insulation in their correct they throw some space blanket over the water tank thinking that's going to take care of the heater what a bunch of s*** I hope somebody reads this before they buy one the amount of money I spent on this it should be spray foamed on the bottom the mattress that was in it total piece of s*** had to go get a new one right away man when you spend money like this on an RV you expected to be good I wish I could reconsider my choice too late now dollars are already in their hands.

We love the 399th except for the deception by dealer. Dealer told us unit included "my rv". This was not included. Told us the unit had 160 gal fresh water tanks. Wrong again we metered the water and the unit holds 109 gallons. GD customer service was ok but our dealer service was horrible. They acted like they were doing us a favor by fixing issues with coach. At this point we feel we may have made a mistake purchasing the momentum 399th.

Overall we like our 399TH and we accept some of the simple fixes that usually come with a new camper. However, it seems like we have a list that wouldn't exist with proper QC:
1. The trailer arrived with the wrong interior.
2. The media chairs were mounted crooked and would get stuck on the window valance when reclined.
3. No hot water on city connection. We have to pull water from the tanks to heat it.
4. Half of the carpet in the loft wasn't even there. It just raw particle board exposed. I was told this was normal from my dealer!
5. Sliding door to the side porch is not square and the door doesn't close flush.
6. Garage glass door has a gap on one side, clearly not plumb.
7. Garage loft bed is not level. I have to push up on one side of the bed to place the locking pins in. I was told by my dealer there is nothing that can be done about it. I need to stand on a stool or use a pole to push the bed up while putting the pin in.
8. The porch enclosure tears a hole in the mesh when stowed for transport. The dealer said it's a design flaw.
9.Trailer was delivered with missing rubber keyhole covers. I was told they will not be covered under warranty even though it was delivered without them!
10. Batteries wont hold a full charge. 12.5V is the highest they will charge. The dealer is currently looking at that.
11. The door would unlatch even when locked under transport. The closed grab handle is the only thing keeping the door closed. I'm told the door isn't aligned with the latch catch properly.
12.Power converter was advertised as a 75W but a 65W was put in.
13. Kitchen slide does not close flush to the unit.
14. Fuel tank gage is backwards and reads the level in the opposite tank.

There are also three options we paid for but wish we didn't and we feel a little deceived:
1. The king bed upgrade is not a true king, it's 6 inches narrower than a actual king. We upgraded so I could use our Tempurpedic mattress for my back only to find out later that I paid for the king size option and it won't fit my actual sized king. I now have to buy a queen Tempurpedic to replace the stock mattress but the queen mattress is too small to fill the fake king size platform. Basically I paid for an option I can't use and on top of that I need to spend even more money because of it. Stick with the queen unless you plan on keeping the horrible stock mattress!
2. The so called removable carpet kit for the garage area is a joke! It is literally a roll of felt that isn't even cut to fit the garage(see pic)! We had the understanding it was carpet that matched the carpet in the rest of the trailer. We at least got a small piece of carpet for the door step. The option should be title "unmeasured/uncut removable felt" because it is definitely not carpet! Buy a remnant instead from Lowes or Home Depot, it will be actual carpet and it will be cheaper too!
3. The optional stairs for the ramps have been useless for us. We have yet to find an area that once you get leveled the stairs will reach the ground, even with the legs fully extended(see pic). I have to use wood blocks to place under the legs even on a hard level surface. The only time they work properly is on a flat level surface without the leveling jacks extended(like at an RV show)! The side porch stair mounts were not measured properly and the stairs will not mount evenly because of them. I'm waiting for my dealer to see what they can do with that. I would love to have my money back for these useless options. The camper is nice overall but there seems to be some deceiving with some options, intentional or not....research the options closely or you may not be getting what you think. This is our first camper and our lessons learned were expensive.

We purchased our 398-M in March of 2017..It is now December 2017 and in has been in for repairs after every trip that we have used it. At this time we have used it 6 times. It has spent over 6 months total in the repair shop. We have had problems with the refrigerator, heating system, air conditioning system, charging system, trim falling off inside, lights falling off outside, shower leaking, rear beds fell off the walls, blinds fell off, tires blowing, power switching from generator to battery power, and any more items.
We would not recommend this product to anyone.
We spent almost a $100,000 and the dealer knowing the problems with ours will only give us $50,000 for it. They know that it is a lemon and do not want it back in their hands. They said that they could not resale it due to all of the repairs made and it’s repair history.

I would recommend running away, to another brand. We have owned our 395m for about 7 months. Something breaks about once a week, leaks, doors hung wrong and so on, with a major issue every other month, refrigerator took 2 months in service, now the water heater and that was after they 'fixed'the first round of problems. I will never buy another grand design and would absolutely not recommend anyone else to get one. We have had some luck getting grand design to approve repairs but it takes forever and God forbid it is a sub part, then you have to go thru that supplier service. It doesn't help that something else breaks right away. Never again. Horrible quality. Have to add air bags to help the bucking during towing. If I had the money I would go buy something else and drop this thing off at the nearest junkyard.

After years of researching and talking with friends that have owned other manufactures RV's including GD's, we ordered and took delivery of our Grand Design, 40 1/2', 16K, Solitude 384GK-R in December 2016. On our POI, I went over the unit with a Fine-Tooth-Comb. We didn't have any issues that needed fixing, repairing or replacing. After our initial shake down cruise we noticed one of the leveling jacks leaking. GD sent our dealer another jack and it was replaced. We've been full timing in our GD since January and we are very please with it. IMHO, Grand Design offer's the best quality and the must bang for the buck. Great Job Grand Design!

We purchased our fifth wheel at campers inn while we were at myrtle beach, they were absolutely fantastic at every part of the sale and delivery. The camper it self met all of our expectation of quality workmanship in every aspect you could receive. The only problem is the norcold refrigerator that is in it .our old rv was ten years old and we have the same problem with this refrigerator we had with our old one, when it rains hard, water gets on the high temp switch and shuts the refrigerator down. Now you have a hundred dollar service call to get it turned back on ,you would think norcold would spend a little money and get a sealed switch. When l called norcold they blamed it on grand design ! If l were gran design and knew they were telling customers this I would quit installing that brand in such a quality fifth wheel. We almost backed out of the sale when l saw it had a norcold in the unit ,but l figured after 10 years they would have have the problem cured rather than blaming someone else.i would definitely highly recommend grand design but not with a norcold unit.
We would rate Grand Design five star but dealer would be rated below zero.

To start, the Sa lesmen talked it up of course. It does look nice, pulls well, and is livable. The issues I've had make me realize that the manufacturer doesn't build it to handle the road. All four leaf springs had to be replaced, one broke in half on the road, 2 others bent. This was from normal interstate, and campground driving. The other issues are light fixtures loose and ready to fall off, fenders loose, screws backing out, roof sealant cracked, gapped and ready to leak, wall in the rear storage compartment separating, bedroom slide stopped working directly after the shop had it all day, shaded don't go up, window cranks strip out etc.. The biggest issue is the dealership's service. I learned that I had to watch the mechanics while they worked on it or go around after they were "done" and inspect to make sure it was fixed correctly. After calling them out on faulty repairs, going back 7 times, some for the same issue, dealer told me they won't work on it anymore and I need to find another service shop. Wow, is all I can say. What about warranty, and forever warranty they brag about? Basically every time I left the shop there was another issue to go back for.. They did however fix some issues correctly, but all in all I am less then impressed. We'll see if the manufacturer helps me out.. Save yourself tons of headaches and time.

We have a late 2017 model which seems to have addressed many of the issues with the 2016 and early 2017 models. Our problems have been very minor but most importantly quickly and fully addressed by GD

1 the switch for the fader lights in the front hatch area caused the lights to fade on and off on their own. GD sent us new switches and no issues after a quick install. I understand this was a defect is some of the switches from the parts manufacturer.

Washer hot water hose was cut short and rubbed a hole in the line. GD authorized a fix and local authorized tech out in had it fixed quickly fixed

Front door has warp and has to be slammed to. Lose. Just reported last week and GD working with local shop for replacement.

We had a all day rain the other day and were concerned about leaks. No leaks anywhere and very pleased.

We have the myRV system and really like the option to run the trailer from the phone ap. I works great and makes things very easy to control while watching to make sure Jacks, slides and awnings are deploying and control lights from phone when coming home at night.

So far very pleased with the unit as a fifth wheel. We are aware that things are going to be lighter when possible but the areas that are heavy use like drawers, doors etc are built heavier than others areas to balance out weight options

With the garage and the storage available it is easy to overload the rig and it does pull heavy. We pull with a 1 ton 3500 Chevy dually and have no problems.

Having the garage under the bed does beg a few compromises. In the bedroom there is a queen bed and little space to get dressed in, but it is a compromise we made to be able to have our bike with us for long term travels and still feel like a residential unit.

Overall we are very pleased with the trailer and have very positive experiences with GD standing behind their product

Grand Design boasts 250 point inspection before shipping the units out. I could recommend a few more! For instance,do both air conditioners work? Are there any loose cabinet trim pieces?,any grease on the shades?,any stains on the carpet? All in all I love my unit but the DINKY Bath vent Fan and "Paper Thin" Skylight are aJoke as well as the Stupid Little Door Latch that my wife can't open form the outside! And the DUMB SHAPED KEYS!- I'm all done.

This our second Solitude, we traded a 377 mbr for this 374 thr. Have had no major problems, probably 3000 miles on her sense we picked her up last month. This the prefect trailer in our opinion, it feels like a true home sense we are full timers.

We upgraded last year in August from a 2015 Reflection to our 2017 Solitude. We love the unit with one exception. It will not stay cool. We have 2 AC units but it is as if they forgot to put insulation in the walls. If you toych the wall, it is very hot. We put tge silver ibsulated stuff on the windows and you can't feel the heat as bad as you do in the walls. When the sun is out with both ACs running and a fan, it gets up to 87 degrees in the livibg area and 85 in the bedroom. I understand it is hot outside but our Reflection didn't get this hot. We are really disappointed in this part of our unit especially after paying over $70,000 for it. This was to be our final RV and we are just now starting fulltime. I did not give them a good rating on Livabilty and Quality because of this. I am contacting GD about this but not sure there isanything they can/will do about it.

We really like the layout and the roominess.
On the first trip out we found that the rear grey water tank release handle could not be opened, and the oven is not level ,even when the trailer has been leveled. we had 12 warranty items after only 2 trips.
Mike Thompson RV. has had the trailer for 3 weeks and still does not have the parts.
One of the cheep Chinese tires threw the entire tread , but did not go flat. No sign of road hazard but no one will pay me for the tire. Not happy with service. They give mostly excuses.

If I was GD, I wouls never use plastic sink/toilet fixtures again.
I would find a different supplier for the theater seating.
I would check all axles in stock and replace bad units prior to manufacture.
I would assign one unit to each technician for final inspection and display their signature on a form for use by the customer for problems. This makes that employee responsible for that unit. You might be able to figure who is not doing their jobs properly by doing this. I wouldn’t want MY name on a poor unit.
I would provide training to all dealers on proper PDI. We had many responses of “I don’t know” on ours. Make up a short video on the special differences for that model and send it to the dealers.
Any dealership that will not provide warranty work because the unit was not purchased there should be fined or dropped. That is really bad form!
Why doesn’t GD sell direct to the public? Why not have a new dealership owned by GD nearby? I think a lot of people would really like this idea.
Have a handfull of “field inspectors” to go and help people get problems sorted out? You could have a few per sections of the country, pay them for time worked and expenses.

Love out 349m. Thankfully I have an engineer minded husband who understands how things are supposed to work, which is good as the walk through with dealer was grossly inadequate. I think the dealerships (any dealership, any brand) should have to prove they “know” the product before they can carry them.

My husband and I bought a brand new 2017 Grand Design Momentum August of 2017. Have less than 4000 miles on the tires that came on the RV. We went on vacation and two of the tires lost their tread doing a lot of damage under the camper. Both tires were still holding air and we were able to get to a safe place to put on the spare. The hydraulics system is shot, not to mention the hole that has exposed the hoses and the cracked and bent fender. We had to not only stop to buy a spare tire, but had to buy stabilizers because the ones on the camper were useless. My husband and I have been in the tire/tire repair business for a combined total of more than 50 years. The tires were properly inflated and were not running hot, we checked several times during the drive. We don’t take chances with the safety of our family. I wonder if the owners and officers of Grand Design would pull a 5th wheel with these tires. The second tire that lost its tread, we had just stopped and checked the tires. There was no outward sign that the tire was defective. Found out from the dealer and Grand Design that the damage these cheap and in my opinion defective tires caused is not covered in any way. Grand Design told us we would have to talk to the tire company that they got the tires from. Guess what, they will only cover the tires and the wheels if damaged. I don’t think I want to put the same tires on the camper. Also found out the extended warranty that the dealer sold us that they told us would cover tire damage, does not. My suggestion is to not buy Grand Design. They do not stand behind their product. If you do buy, upgrade the tires. We were lucky it didn't cause a wreck and the tread did not hit other cars. I am not going into detail about the other many problems that we have had with the camper. We took it to the dealer to repair and they had the camper for weeks and still did not fix a number of the problems.
This is posted on Grand Design’s website.
At Grand Design our goal is simply…Continue leading the industry with quality products while improving the customer’s RV experience before, during, and after the sale. We would be honored to personally welcome you to the Grand Design family!
Maybe they should read this more often!!!!!

From day one this unit has been problematic..first the heater duct was off going into the bedroom, could get no result from selling dealer...only excuses so took basement panels off and fixed myself..no screws in heater duct holding heater duct hose to plenum..only cheap tape..little wonder it fell off.It wont come off now. Then there was the shower...first use water all over the floor...again no help from selling dealer..just more excuses. Then after getting on roof to check vent covers dealer installed...found them to be out of alignment so couldn’t open vent...fixed myself since dealer only makes excuses. Then found numerous outside trim screws missing...after further investigation found most to broken off inside coach frame...looks like they were over tightened at factory...again no help from dealer...just excuses...I could go on but time and space would not allow it here.Buyer beware...better check it out good before you buy it...and don’t buy from local dealer in Pasco,Washington...be ready to fix things yourself.Grand Design really needs to have better quality control...or go back to the drawing board.

Purchased our 2017 Reflecton 337RLS April 2017 from Northside RV in Lexington, Ky, a very good RV dealership. We did not take our first trip until June due to waiting on delivery of our 2017 Ford F250 truck. We have had two significant electrical problems both dc . and ac current. One was a screw shorting the system and blowing the 7.5amp circuit. The other was a wiring problem that constantly drained the battery even with the battery disconnect removed. This remains a problem though today. On our most recent trip, with the temp dipping into 40's there is no heat going to the BR. Upon inspection it looks like they did not connect the furnace into the duct work. Other quality problems: back window did not stay shut while traveling and Iwould open 3 to 4"s. When taking a shower water accumulated between shower and sink cabinet. Kitchen island lights going in different direction and globes did not match. Screen door latch loose and would not catch easily. Island plug cover kept falling off. Kitchen dinette shade difficult to raise. up. Although not a functional problem but a quality workmanship issue on our first camping trip we noticed a power residue on the inside of the outer door at the top. and when we we wiped it off there was a 6" scratch that production tried to cover. On the one side inside the freezer the finish on the back is rough where the other side is smooth. upon close inspection we found a reminents of a deep scratch that I assume Norcold the refrigerator mfg. did this shoddy repair. My frustration with these two issues is that I thought was where purchasing first line equipment not scratch and dents. Certainly the price I paid was for top quality. GD would do nothing about the door and would not take responsibility. If that was the only problem we would say no big deal, but with everything that we have experienced on only three trips it is a big deal. Another irritant is the manuel that comes with the camper. It's so generic in many cases it does not match with the camper. Also, we did not have manuals on the fireplace and air conditioning where we experienced some error codes and without manuals did not know what was going on. GD makes a BIG deal about their quality process in their marketing material. I think they better take a closer look because it's falls way short. What is beginning to worry me know is what problems are behind the walls and under the flooring?? Based on our conversations with other campers many have quality issues so do your research and don't buy one that was produced on a Monday or Friday, or before and after a holiday. Sounds like the american car companies in the 70's. Maybe it will take a Toyota and/or Honda to come into the RV market to get the quality up.

For the price point, this RV is top of the line without a huge price tag. Although we did not live in it full time it would be very easy to do so. the quality of workmanship and materials used are top of the line. We bought it new and had no warranty issues or problems with it. All systems worked as specified or expected from day one. We had one small problem with condensation forming in the double door refrig but when I looked at it there was a drip collection tray that was not properly seated to the drain hose. After plugging this in properly no more problems were seen. A great RVing experiance.

When we decided to look at new trailers last year we we set to purchase a third unit from the same manufacturer when we were introduced to the Grand Design Reflection line. At that time we had not heard of this manufacturer. Although we really liked the unit and the quality we saw I was skeptical and wanted to do some research before making the final decision. I spent quite a bit of time reading reviews and speaking with the Grand Design owners that we would see in parks while traveling. The end result was that we would switch brands and purchase our first Grand Design Reflection 315RLTS. After a few trips I noticed a structural issues and was put in touch with the Grand Design Warranty Department. This was their opportunity to show me what they claimed on their website about how they dealt with issues. What I experienced certainly substantiated their commitment to customer service. The warranty department staff were truly exceptional at taking care of everything. I would not hesitate to recommend this manufacturer and as a matter of fact friends have already purchased their own new unit after speaking to us. I am certain that when we are ready another new trailer it will be a Grand Design product.

We have owned for 1 1/2 yrs. We have used the unit ALOT staying in it for long periods of time while traveling. This is a top of line travel trailer. Grand Design did things right for cold or hot weather and alot of uses. The unit holds well, quality material. I love this floor plan and the storage you get is more than average. I love the residential queen bed and the side by side 12 ' refrg. The roofing system is the best Ive had, after owning many RVS in my time. Would buy again.

I have owned my trailer since 2016 and am very disappointed in Grand Designs warranty program. So far, I've had troubles with the/a drawer in the bedroom, a leaking skylight, an intermittent heater, water leakage into the side compartment, stabilizer jacks and tongue jack that won't retract. I've contacted GD to be told I have to take the trailer to an authorized repair shop. I'm living in the unit and cannot drop it off. GD stands behind - way behind- their nonexistent warranty. I could not recommended this brand of trailer to anyone.

Really like the floor plan but do NOT like the repairs after two months of purchase....Fireplace malfunctioned while we were taking the tour to purchase and had to be replaced. After we got home we realized the tray for the washing machine was broke. After my husband took off to live in it for work, the following have messed up and/or had to be repaired / replaced....drain Studor vent under the sink, 50 amp breaker, 120V converter, weather stripping above slide out, kitchen faucet (we replaced due to leak) & the thermostat does not work correctly. So far we are out over $700.00 because my husband works out of the state so he has to call repair guy to come fix. Then that guy has to return the faulty part before we get our money back (we bought the extended warranty)....THANK GOODNESS. During one call to the dealer, i was told...yeah, you learn the hard way. I have never put a review on any website, but I felt this was needed. All these things have happened within two months of purchase.

We purchased our 2017 Grand Design 30BH after almost two years of shopping and comparing with other manufacturer's similar sized units. We have not had any issues with our Grand Design. We opted to go with some upgrades making our fifth wheel more comfortable for full time living and we have been impressed by our dealer's service and the quality Grand Design put into this trailer. When doing our research,we even talked in person with Dustin, the Grand Design Rep in Portland, and he was very thorough and patient in answering our many questions and addressing any concerns that we had about the company and the 30BH. We moved up from a 26'Jayco travel trailer to the fifth wheel and feel that we made the right choice by going with our Grand Design 30BH. We are VERY HAPPY CAMPERS in Vancouver USA.

Our dealer went through each and every detail of the 308BHTS, they turned everything on, all tanks, awning, you name it they tested in during our walk through including lighting the stoves, etc. Tennessee RV in Knoxville. Highly recommend this dealership and salesman Roger Keck. The service tech that did our walk through was helpful, skilled and knowledgeable; answered each and every question my engineer husband threw at him. We have taken out the 2017 308BHTS and timed our full setup including leveling, unhitching, full hookups, 18 minutes from the time we pulled into our spot, my husband leveling and unhitvjinh, the wife hooking up water, sewer, electric. Everything worked and not one single problem. Our family of five with kids aged 12, 10 & 8 found ourselves in the camper one full day due to rain... floor plan was so family friendly no one felt cramped or lack of privacy. I highly recommend Grand Design. I have read all the other reviews, my question is did they have a quality walk through with a tech like we did? We traded in a 2006 KZ bunkhouse which was also a solid unit.

We are nearing the end of the shake down road trip, 9 days, including 4 boondocking nights between PA to SC plus 2 full camps. It has been a great trip. Pulling 5th wheel with 2017 F-350 PS diesel, long bed, SRW. All 307MKS systems checked out fine. We are so happy with this 307 MKS unit purchased from Tom Schaffer Camping near Hamburg, PA. Love the gourmet kitchen and the rear desk. Went from winterized unit upon pickup, to full use in SC. Will winterize again when back to NJ home base. Dealer installed second A/C and skid caster wheels for our steep driveway. They really worked well. We added the Furrion rear camera. Easy. A few minor items for fixing: loose interior trim strip over desk, loose inside cabinet outlet next to Furrion DVD / radio player, docking station shower quick disconnect malfunction. We still need to check outside kitchen and TV. The dealer needs to look at the roof since we saw a defect on top first time we cleared off slides. All in all; happy campers.

Purchase of this trailer was really easy. The sales staff and technicians were very helpful but not very thorough. This being our first new RV. We took delivery this weekend and immediately went camping. All major items worked as expected. We did find quite a few workmanship issues:
1. All wood corners that were wrapped were bubbled, some were split. We did not expect the fit and finish to be that bad.
2. Entry door sticks at upper corner.
3. Large bubble under the floor covering near the door.
To put it bluntly, the cabinet workmanship was more than shoddy! All four oorner's of the sink island were split and bubbled. Trim on pantry corner also separated and bubbled, trim above couch excessively stapled and also bubbled.

I take fault in not refusing the trailer based on the workmanship. We were so excited about purchase and looking forward to many trips in the new RV that we just assumed workmanship would not be an issue.

Now it remains to be determined if the factory actually comes thru with replacement cabinets and /or we find more hidden issues? (photo's will be sent to the dealer to be forwarded to the manufacturer. Looks like we purchased a Monday/Friday production RV. Grand Design does not appear to have a means for customer complaints so I guess my only option is to place our complaints here and with the dealer.

I suggest to all potential buyers to closely check your new trailer prior to purchase. Lets hope my closest repair shop is open to making the needed repairs in a timely fashion.

When me and my wife FIRST looked at this camperand heard how it was manufactured and the inspection process before it was shipped, we were sold. After 2 outings with camper after sitting in storage for a couple of months , I notice water on floor below ceiling light entering bedroom. Touch around light ,it was wet. Pushed up on ceiling around light and a stream of water came out. Also leaks around front and back ceiling vents. Took to place of purchase, cost me over a hundred dollars for.them to caulk gun a.little bit of sealer stuff on on.4 corners.of roof.of camper. We recently purchased a 2017 Grand Design, Imagine 2800 BH. The floor plan is excellent and the overall fit and finish appeared to be good until we used the unit at higher altitudes. When the furnace runs, the main bedroom located at the front of the trailer becomes insufferably hot and the bathroom and back of the trailer is very cold. We plugged the hot air feed from the furnace into the bedroom, but still had serious heat balancing issues. The thermostat is located in the bedroom. We returned the unit to the dealer in Grand Junction, Colorado. They said the air feed to the bathroom is very small and will never pass enough air, even with the bedroom vent blocked. In effect, we are being told it is poorly designed (which it is) and there is no fixing it. Poor design, poor service. We traded-in a Lance for this unit. I am quite disappointed because using this in a colder venue where heat is required is always going to be problematic.

The first time we camped the back large window leaked a lot during rain storm. Also found a leak under the sink. We fixed both cause it would have taken 7 weeks to get appt at general rv in orange park, fl (we bought rv from them). The third trip the middle kitchen drawer fell apart. We ended up renailing them and glued them Also had to trim the side molding in kitchen slide out because it buckled. This last trip the skylight over the shower began leaking during a rAin. We called grand design and even though the camper is 5 months old, we were told that the warranty would not cover the leak because it is a maintenance issue. Also, you can see where they wiped putty over all the nail holes, oh yes, and there is water in the outside reflector lights. Thought we were getting a solid built rv, you be the judge

This brand isnt any better than most being slammed together. I has loose molding, missing nails on cupboards. The bedroom slide door had to be re-aligned.
There are creases on the living room vinyl floor from the slide. I had to add Molly's to 70% of the blind tensioners. They were screwed into 1/8 " walls. My water heater wont work on gas. First time using the heater. There was so much wood cut sawdust in my heater it took two hours to get the smoke out at first use. It took two weeks to get the smoke smell out. Too bad this is just another thrown together unit. I COULD HAVE purchased a cheaply to get the same quality.

Bought this trailer in June 2017. Had it one month and took it back to the dealer for warranty repair. They did nothing but humma humma their way around every topic.

Went to a Owners Rally in September and was able to speak to a Grand Design Rep. Had a rubber seal torn off from one of the slides, sewer smell coming up from the kitchen sink, the main door holding latch was put on crooked, and the box for the bed (foot of the bed) warped in the heat. He made notes and said to take it to dealer which I did.

After having some repair work done at dealer, they told me that Grand Design would not authorize the fix for the latch ("that's they way they all are"), replace the foot of the bed box ("we will put in a brace to straighten it out") and stated that the smell from the sewer line was because no water was in the P-Trap (Duh.... It was drained for storage because it's winter). The Anti-Siphon was up against the bottom of the sink and can't be screwed off and they told the rep that all the units were like that, even thought the GD rep at the rally says otherwise.

All in all, only had one item repaired out of 12 items that are broken, bent, are just from lousy workmanship. Even the molding around the inside of the slides are popping off constantly and all you get is excuses.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND that if you are in the market, STAY AWAY FROM GRAND DESIGN TRAILERS BECAUSE they don't care after the sale!!!!!!

When we retired and got back into RV travel we purchased a 23' Jayco. The Jayco was too small so we shopped and found the Imagine 2650RK. Although it is more money, the size, floorpan, quality, features, etc. made the Imagine a good choice. Although substantially heavier than the Jayco it tows the same due to the low profile and better aerodynamics. We've had our Imagine for 6 months and about 2000 miles without any return to the dealer for repairs. The pop-up television and the fireplace are wonderful features on this trailer.

Best built travel trailer you will find (under 30K). Actively used mine since September 2016. Camped hard thru the winter months. Couldn't be happier. PROS - Enormous storage, comfortable living space, extremely well-built
CONS - The only thing I can think of is the heating vent system. Each vent should have an open/close option.

A MUST: DURATAIN coating... you'll never have to wax it with this coating and washing it is quick and easy. Additionally, using this coating reduces black marks considerably.

We purchased our GD Imagine 2500RL in March of 2017. Shortly after we took a 5500 mile trip thru the western states and Canada. The RV was great and so very comfortable. Since we have had our GD Imagine we have had recalls on certain areas of our RV. Problems repairing the recalls were only at the local dealers. At this time I want to give special thanks to the people at Grand Design. These people are: Paul Laux, Tara Michen, and Mike Rogers. When problems arose the mentioned personnel when contacted would respond within hours and would help solve the problem immediately. Thank you all for beig there when we needed you. I definitely recommend a Grand Design to anyone.

This RV is one of the best I have ever seen. You can search high and low for an RV of this quality, and weight class, and you will be sadly disappointed. If you're looking for a camper that will last the life of the loan, look no further than any of the models made by Grand Design. Better yet, they have the best manufactures warranty of 3 years (no questions asked replacements) That's how much this company backs their product. No other manufacturer besides Airstream offers a 3 year warranty.

We purchased a 2047 Imagine 2500 RL by Grand Design 4 mo ago from Life Style RV in Grain Valley Mo. We have since then had it out 5 times and towed it about 1000 mi. We immediately fell in love with the floor plan and quality of this rv. It is the third one we have owned and by far the absolute best. Most of the problems we had were minor and were caused by operator error rather than an issue with the mfg process. It is very well designed with quality construction through out. The support we received from the dealer has been excellent. Even offering after hours tech support which we had to use the first time out to get the hotwater heater going. Again this was not an issue with the design or mfg of the unit but settings of the valves on the heater. I would reccommend this company to anyone who is in the market for a great RV. One note to anyone buying this particular unit: it is very comfortable for two adults. Two adults with two grandkids it is very adequate. More than 4 then it becomes very crowded. Just an fyi.

The layout on this trailer is so well thought out. We never thought we would finally find exactly what we were looking for. Come on how many can't stand the size of the bathroom? Most are cramped. Admit it. My last one was. But good lordy did someone think this one through. Great walk around room. More storage than I know what to do with & did I mention the bathroom? But really great well thought out designs. Bedroom layout great, ample storage. Slide creates a comfortable large living area. I actually do not use all of the storage in this room either. If you haven't stopped & taken a look you are making a giant mistake.

Having owned a few RV's over the years, this unit ranks high in every category. It is a quality product, well thought out and very well constructed compared to any of the so called "quality built" trailers on the market. My experience with another "quality" brand lasted less than 6 months with one trip to Alaska. The Grand Design has met every expectation, easy to tow, convenience, good craftsmanship and will prove worthy to take pride in ownership. Would I buy another Grand Design, absolutely, no hesitation. Perhaps a little higher priced, but worth every penny for one of these quality units. In my opinion, the best on the market.

We like the floor plan and almost everything about the camper with the exception of the placement of the awning that the door is under or not under. When it\'s raining you get wet trying to get in the camper because the door is not under the awning far enough. Our biggest complaint is the service. We picked up our rv and there is no way this is the one we looked at, there is a dent and scratch in the kitchen door that wasn\'t there when we looked at it, dealer had the camper 3 weeks longer then they should have and they didn\'t even attempt to replace the fridge. We have had the camper since end of April, still no new door and we have called about our volume shutting off on the tv, with no assistance. We contact the factory and have had some communication but it has been spotty.

Our experience with this trailer has been wonderful to full time in. We are a family of 3 and use the toy hauler as a kids bedroom and it has been great. The only minor issue we have had is that the tub leaked around the outside when we first got it and I just took some clear silicone and ran a light bead around it and no issues since then and a small piece of trim fell off because it seemed the company uses a nail gun and whomever done it was just going to fast and pushing to hard and went all the way through the trim. The living area could be more user friendly with having a outward facing couch so that you can look outside when seated but to each his own. Other than this, this trailer had been flawless and we would not own another brand especially after upgrading from a Heartland.

We though we were buying a well built RV at first. Then we started using it. We like the floor plan and that is were it stops. We have had many problems with the RV, most we had to fix on the road traveling. This is some of the problems we have had. We had a flat tire and who ever put the lug nuts on at the factory put one of them on cross threaded, so the road side repair had to break the lug, we still have to fix the lug. When putting out the awning the awning fell off, come to find out that there was only 2 screws holding it. The jacks don't work correct, when retracting them they only move 3 inches and stop, then press the retract button again and again tell all the way up. The bed/bath slide out has tore up the trim work when using. The crank on the antenna was cut to short, had to replace. The drain in the bathroom sink came apart, the factory only had a little silicon holding the drain (what a joke) The auto level never has been correct. The sun roof in the shower is coming apart. Do your home work before you buy, that is what we have learned.

Great layout and functional. I belive the newer model has address the tight garage space although I have not actually seen it. It would be nice if they would address to cheap windows, problem in the front living area. The cranking system is cheap and the Nylon Wheels in the track can't withstand the pressure put on them while traveling down the highway. Both my Forward Windows have blown out sucking out the screens and the blinds. The replacement mechanism is better but the aluminum where it attaches is bending in. A recessed window or some kind of lock would really help in this area or a small fairing over the front edge of the window to direct wind over it may be the trick. The slide outs would have been better if they could have made those recessed also. The cold weather can be felt through the slides wall. Maybe thicker walls or Some kind of outer wrapping that is water proff would be great to have as maybe an add on for full timers who would like a stedier temp inside and make winsows double pane. The 2016 model has the dump valve location under coach and you have to get underneath to pull those. I think they addressed that in 2017 and the pulls are inside a hatch. Much better on the knees. I love my 2016 376th but improvements are always a plus.

The Reflection by Grand Design has been an exceptional purchase. The quality has been outstanding and has endured with no signs of wear. It has easily provided space for friends and family without the feeling of being in a camper.
It is air tight and stays warm even on the coldest nights.

Love this camper! We have had Jayco, Forest River and also a Diesel Pusher. We lived in it for 8 months while our home was being built (even in winter) and it was fantastic. We wanted one with a 2nd bedroom privacy and plenty of storage. At first the two fireplaces seemed kind of silly but they were actually one of our favorite features. We had some trouble with the fridge at first but they replaced it under warranty. If you're considering a park model, look at this first. There's so much more storage than any models we considered. A pantry in the kitchen and so much storage in the den. You can put your kids or guests in there and have your privacy. I would buy this brand again.

We purchased our 2016 Solitude after I had done extensive research on the brand. We liked the fact, that even though all RV brands will encounter some maintenance issues, the GD family always stands behind their product, and their customers. We love the ease with which it takes to set up and break down our home on wheels whenever we use it. We do not travel fulltime, but we feel if we were, our Solitude would safely and comfortably accommodate that lifestyle. Whenever we have had an issue with our unit, and they have been minor, GD and our home dealership has always assisted us with them in a concise and timely manner. In short, we LOVE our Solitude, and are proud to be part of the Grand Design Family!

The kitchen has great storage with very nice finishes. Compares to your home. Pantry is wonderful and the side by side fridge is awesome. Not your typical RV fridge.

We bought our 337 RL Grand Design in Oct of 2015 . The first day out we had issues , the city water intake was block and would not allow water to flow inside the rig we had to use the water pump and fill our tank , side decals were peeling , floor was dented by the slides , poor paint repair job on the front of the rig , marks no the wall in the bathroom , poor clean up in the bedroom sharp items on the floor picking your feet . We took the rig back to the dealer and got everything fix . Six weeks later we pick up our rig and headed to Key West. We arrive in Key West and the firtst day there the A/C unit went out . Grand Design replace the A/C unit in the park within five days . During our trip we had other issues , Awing rail falling off the trailer , the Frig went out , side LED light stop working , poor patch job on the hallway wall , decals peeling , gap in the door opening ,window seals cut to short , rubber seal on the livingroom slide rip at the top of the slide , DVD player did not work , outside speaker did not work , closet light switch did not work in the bedroom , front landing gear did not go all the way up . Some of the items we did not see when we pick up or rig and the other issue happen during our travels . Grand Design is fixing everthing and are standing behind all the issues . Over all great layout and dose pull great . To bad we had all the issue going thru the debug process .

Bought our 2016 337rls in October of 2015. We live in it full time here in Denver,CO. We just finished our first winter and had no issues even with the temp down to 3-5 below zero a few times. We also had several weeks where the temp never got above freezing, with 60" of snow for the season. I added an extra space heater because the fireplace and the furnace just couldn't quite keep up on some of those extra cold nights. We'll see how the AC handles the 90+ degree summer days.

This trailer is very expensive but we thought it would be our retirement rig and splurged. It has some features that are nicer than the average fifth wheel but not sure it is worth the price. We have had more problems with this rig than the previous three trailers we have owned combined! Right from the start, the recliners wouldn't open or shut, the sleeper couch is horrible to sleep on because the three foam sections that fold out are not even. Our bedroom slide had problems from the start and also leaks under one corner outside the slide. It appears the door side of the trailer had been damaged at the factory in three separate places and the gel coat patched. This was pointed out by a body shop we had it at for work. We didn't pay for a damaged and patched trailer. Almost every trailer has a problem with grease seals leaking into the brake linings. It should be a recall but if the customer catches it, they will replace the whole brake system at their cost. Quality control is seriously lacking with this company and the RV dealers they contract with are marginally honest and have horrible customer service. You will find on the forums that people say they have good customer service which is nice but it would be great if they built a quality trailer that is checked for quality work before they ship them out. Don't think I would buy another.

We love our 5th wheel but the problems have been plenty. Most of the trim came detached and had to be reattached. The drawers would not stay shut and banged against whatever was in front of them. The pantry door latch was 1.5 inch our of alignment. While on our first trip the valve system for both the black and grey tanks jammed up. Wouldn't totally close and got to the point wouldn't open either. Had the trailer for 9 months when this happened. No Help from the manufacture. Claims it must have been the TP we were using. Gray tank! Used RV paper. $800 + to fix! Front landing gear switch failed. Will extend won't retract. 4 weeks at the dealer and the warranty won't respond and the parts are not ordered.

Like the look and design, tows nice, have had several problems, One closet door pulled hinges out of wood while driving, (warranty fix) microwave did not heat, but came on, (warranty fix) Water valve panel faulty o-rings Water leaks, (warranty fix), Skylight detached inside (warranty fix) have owned unit since Aug of 2015, and last trip out replacement water valves malfunctioning again, calling GD this morning to see if there is a better replacement panel than the original Anderson unit. More than a year out of purchase, curious to see if they push back on clearly faulty equipment replacement.

Bought the unit new in 2016. Have had several issues, primarily with the head, specifically the toliet. I have had it in service, (I live in GA, I take it to WPB FL to be serviced), at least 3 times for toilet overflowing issues. The bedroom A/C was not designed well. The main unit blows into the bathroom vice across the bed. Ditto with the salon A/C. A/C airflow not designed well. A tire completely blew out at approximately 9k miles. Looked like a recap vice a new tire. Outside storage is limited BUT it does come with a rear hitch. I use it to carry a storage rack w/ attached container to assist in storage. I would likely be less satisfied with this unit, (my 4th RV in 9 years), but the dealer, Palm Beach RV offers a lifetime warranty and they stand behind any and all RV's they sell. This is NOT a light RV. If you don't have a 250/2500 Series truck, consider something lighter.

Really like this trailer. Operation switches, knobs, hoses, valves, etc., easy to find and use. Interior set up to accommodate kitchen and bathroom use. Living room is roomy and comfortable to watch TV or have guests. Dining table big enough for 4 people and food layout.

All in all, this is a great trailer. It is extremely easy to tow.

We bought our 2016 303RLS in March of 2015 and took delivery on 5/1/15. We had a bunch of tiny basic warranty issues that the dealer took care of with no problem. The one major problem we had involved the door on the fridge. It had a curve to it that would not allow if to seal properly. So we had some food spoilage and also the fridge ran almost continuously. This complaint isn\'t about Grand Design this dealt with the manufacturer of the fridge. Overall we do love our trailer. No other major issues. I wish the coach would have some with 16\" rim and tires but then I guess the price would reflect that. We can\'t wait to take it out again.

We have had and still are enjoying our Grand Design Solitude 300gkr.Very sleek design with modern day technologies. I am however disappointed with their recall department on known issues (not many)they have and how they are handled or not handled. We would however recommend the Grand Design product to others if they are looking for the above average travel trailer experience. Good product and good customer service!

I have had nothing but dissatisfaction with my Grand Design 5th wheel. I've had nothing but problems. I spent $972.65 of my money to fix problems I've had since I first bought it. Things have been recorded by the dealership, supposedly. Between water leaks, that have possibly ruined my flooring, made me replace my burner assembly and igniter in my furnace, a sky light that was NOT screwed into the roof only caulked and leaked, maybe creating mold in my ceiling, trim falling off, seals not sealing, slides not tracking right, furniture ripping because of faulty manufacturing, repaired, re-ripping and being told "I'm sorry, your warranty has expired". Anything repaired has been done by me or I have had to hire an RV Repairman to fix the problem. GD has given me no satisfaction or help with getting the things fixed. Things that have been wrong since day one, not repaired right or not shown up to the naked eye right away. What kind of warranty is this?? Cadillac of campers my eye. I have had my fill of GD and let others at the camp-grounds I stay at know exactly what I think and the problems I have had with no satisfaction from GD. I do want to thank GD for bring my exceptions from a 10 to an absolute zero. I could care less to go camping again, but will, if for no other reason but to make people aware of today's warranties and how people can be treated by big companies. I'm sorry to write a review like this but when this is how I've been taken care of, what else can I write? I also have many pictures to back up my claims, but as luck will have it, you can't add pictures here.

This is a awesome Rv for up to 4 people!! Very pretty inside and out, the only negative that I can find is the steps going to front of rv are a little tall which I see they have changed that in newer models. That's what is great about Grand Design, they listen to their customers concerns👍

We have owned this camper for 1 1/2 years. Since owning it the slide (with the dinette) has bowed, the front burner on the stove stopped working, the captains chairs are coming apart at the seams, the fire place heats but has no light and lastly it is NOT winter proof. Last winter in Maryland it was below freezing often but not for multiple days in a row. This year (Jan 2018) it has been below freezing for multiple days in a row. We lost water for a week, our tanks froze and we couldn’t dump our tanks and now that it is above freezing we have water leaking everywhere underneath the camper. This is a good camper for summer but would NOT recommend for all weather camping.

We had to have this the moment we walked in the door, the layout and finish sold us. Only regret is I didn't get a 17 with the nice front cap. Storage is great but could be improved slightly as ones arms r only so long.
Pros- looks, layout, storage, outside fridge, fit and finish.
Cons- heat distribution ( bathroom cold/ bedroom hot), few fitting leaks on hot side under pressure, front decal bubbled.
Overall great unit for the price and I would buy a GD again and only a GD

Fron the first time using this trailer we have had nothing but issues, it started out with a leaking valve on the hot water tank this happened before we even took it out the second issue was that the awning started to come off the wall of the trailer the inside trim was also starting to come off, and these two things happened in the first summer then the next yeat we had to replace the jack standa and now the fridge is not working the cooling system is shot and we are 3 months past the warranty so it is going to cost $2500 to replace the frodge or $1700 for a new cooling system. I strongly recomend not getting this unit. DONT LET THE GOOD LOOKS FOOL YOU.

My heart was broken and I am angry. We spent very good money on what we thought was a great product. However I feel Grand Design does not stand behind their product and we have had several issues with ours. #1 was the generator. Seems after a visit to dealer and my husband on the phone trouble shooting the problem they think it\'s the transfer switch we have not gotten that fixed yet. The battery went dead after 3 months and we had to purchase a new one. No warranty. They led us to believe a backup camera was included in this model it wasn\'t but we could never get a straight answer. I so want to do long trips but our wheel, hub and all came off our very 1st long distant trip had no resolution with that as well. I feel we got the shaft and no one cared.

We love the comfort of our Toy Hauler but what we don\'t love is the dust the comes in the camper on the pantry side, on the bottom and fills the camper with dirt every time we get on a dirt road. We have had campers with slide outs before so yes we know there not going to keep all of the dirt out but this fills the camper going and coming. We have taken pictures before taking it into the dealer with no luck in getting it fixed. We know there has to be something that can be done because its just that one corner that fills with dirt and causes the dust cloud through out the camper.
We also had a small tear in the seam of the leather couch and the piece they replaced it with doesn\'t match the rest of the couch. We paid lots of money for this camper by adding an extra air conditioner etc because we want to do lots of traveling but the dirt that comes in rather we\'re on the highway or dirt road is awful. This weekend was really bad when we got to our camp site I just wanted to sit down and bawl because I\'d spent so much time cleaning it after the Dealership said it was fixed.

Like most who own one of these rigs the layout and design is excellent. Where many including myself have issues is in the quality control. It does not exist. We have had ours for almost two years and are still having problems with electrical that should not be in a rig this expensive. I will say that Grand Design is still working with us to resolve these issues under warranty. Most of the delays have been on receiving the proper parts the first time ordered and take entirely to long to arrive at the dealer performing the work. It has cost us a lot of money out of pocket to stay in hotels while the RV is in the shop, which has been an all to often issue since we are full time and have no home to resort to at this time. If I had it to do all over again I would not purchase this brand of RV.

As much as we love our 5th wheel, we have found the the craftsmanship is questionable. Our Solitude came with the "Residential Package" so we are living in it full time and have been for the last 6 months. Currently we have a shower door that leaks, dealer tells us it is a maintenance issue not covered under the warranty. the insulation in front behind the TV is pretty much laying on the ground not insulating. There are a few other items that aren't major issues. Had to have a few issues addressed and it took a while to get approval from Grand Design. Overall, we love the RV and floor plan just find the craftsmanship questionable.

Let me start out by saying I’m a journeyman lineman outside contractor, witch means I travel a lot so I live in my grand design 379fl.. the reasons I bought the grand design coach was because the way everyone talked up the warranty and customer service.. I also loved the floor plain I have had my coach since 2015 and I have traveled many highway miles with it. The second long trip I made I noticed the wood in the living room under the tv had cracked all the way across I took it in to a grand design dealer and they fixed it under warranty but I wasn’t sure that there wasnts a structural issue that made the board break I’n the first place, ( trailer flex)... they assured me that that was not the case and they jerry rigged the board by grinding the under side of it on the high spots,, well that jerry rigged fix lasted one trip not the next and now grand design won’t even try to fix it for me.. I truly believe that the structural integrity of the coach has been compromised and it’s flexing up there over the hitch is the reason that the board under the tv keeps breaking but they will do nothing

We took a look at this 5th wheel in the Hudson Bend area off Lake Travis. Beautiful RV Resort. We couldn't believe the amount of upgrades it has. It even has a full size dishwasher. The condition is like it rolled of the showroom floor with the exceptions of a small scratch on the rear, which he had to point out to me to notice. Unfortunately it is just a little out of our price range or I would own it today. Its going to be hard to compare others to this one.

Don’t ever buy a used Grand Design. They completely screw you if you need any work done. Their quality is extremely bad. They may look nice but don’t look behind the curtain. You will find mistakes out the wazoo!

We had water damage specifically from the Schwintek rail systems on all 3 of the slides that had them. When we took the floor out we saw the exact location it was coming in. CLEARLY a manufacturer error. I contacted their “best customer service ever” and they declined to help because we are the second owners. Of a 2 year old rig. 2 years old!! I shouldn’t have rotted out floors in a 2 year old rig.

The couches are completely falling apart and again, I have seen they replaced other people’s couches doing the EXACT same thing, but nope. Won’t help us because we are second owners.

Our awning was installed wrong (it is extremely noticeable) so it doesn’t roll in and our right. Also, the awning itself has shrunken by 5-6 inches. 2 years old. Again, Grand Design will not help us.

Overall, we like the camper, but having Grand Design show you any respect for buying their product that is as much as a house, is complete bull. They will not help you if you buy a used rig. This will be THE LAST Grand Design we will ever buy.

There is much to love about our 2015 379FL: floor plan , design, living area, etc. Here is what to hate: After 2 summers, the upholstery on our recliners began to tear in the head area. Now the faux-leather is beginning to shred all over the chairs. And I do mean SHRED! Looks like someone took a knife and began slashing. The material is paper-thin, so not sure repair is even in the cards. We have not contacted Grand Design yet, so I can't speak to that. I did call them regarding a question we had early on and they never called me back..thus the 2star rating. I'm assuming we won't get much help as the warranty period is expired. On the Grand Design Forum, one person responded that the upholstery has been an issue, but our dealer said they have no complaints registered. I'm about to be the first, I guess.

We bought this unit brand new. In walking through this model of the Solitude (375RE-R), we loved the defined separation between kitchen & living room along with the sliding glass door. What ultimately was the selling feature for us was the spacious pantry & stand alone island rather than an L-Shape. Having access to all sides of the island makes getting to the living room easier as well as getting to the dining table. The table & 4 chairs with storage under the seats makes for a very roomy dining experience even with 4 people. The side by side Norcold refrigerator/freezer are nice size as well. Unfortunately after 4 times camping quit working & a part needed replacing which I thought was rediculous since it was brand new. The TV has a nice picture but it's not a smart TV. There also is an entertainment center with DVD (not bluray) player & stereo. Very disappointed in this as well as the sound from the speakers. We ended up putting in our own sound system & a better TV. I know that may not be an issue for some but we do long term camping. The electric fireplace is a nice visual effects & does actually help take the chill out of the room. Another issue was the frame around it continually falling off. We like the tinted windows but wished they opened a bit more for a better breeze. We were very dissatisfied with the screens on the windows. They were not installed correctly and missing some of the parts to keep them in place or have a tight fit. This wasn't discovered until we went on our 1st trip and one screen fell off & then we were being eaten alive by mosquitos getting in through the gaps. The curtains are just hung by velcro, cheap There is ample seating & plenty of sleeping space with the two sides couches that face each other which turn into beds. Again, after the 3rd time using one of them, the frame busted & we can no longer use it for a bed. To replace the unit is over $1000. We do love the comfort of the Loveseat/recliner that faces the TV. They are supposed to be heated but ours never worked. I had a ceiling fan in a previous 5th wheel & loved it. I do miss that in this model. I find the kitchen has plenty of cabinet/counter space which I was happy about as I cook a lot. The double sink is great with the one side being big enough to clean my big stock pot. The steps going up to the bathroom are too steep & we find ourselves tripping up them. It would be nice to have a handrail. They also creak which is irritating. The size of the shower is decent as is the size of the bathroom sink although I do not like the vessel sink as I think it takes up too much valuable counter space. It's pretty but leaves water spots constantly so you have to wipe out the sink after every use. There is a mirror above the sink but it's very cheap, not even a frame. There is a very small side cabinet and another one that is almost non functional. I am 5'3" and can't see all the things on the shelves as the cabinets are mounted higher and the mirror is mounted so high I can only see to the top of my nose unless I stand on my toes. The bedroom is decent size & has the hookup for wadher/dryer in the closet but you loose so much closet space so we don't utilize that function. The closet size is fair. I say fair because if you hang clothes up, they totally block the use of the shelves behind them so in essence you loose closet space. Again, not a big deal if your a weekend camper, but extended stays, not good. The space under the bed is good but fortunately we don't have to get into it much because we had to buy a "real" home mattress to put on the bed as the one that came with it was absolutely useless & caused so much back pain. Lots of nice dresser space & a small TV in the bedroom which we upgraded because the TV was so small. I do wish there was a roof vent/fan but due to the air conditioning unit there's not one. Sometimes it's nice to have the roof vent on nights when its not really hot enough for air conditioning but you need a breeze. The outside of the 5th wheel is beautiful but the steps accessing the camper are too steep, there should be one more step. There are 2 air conditioning units which you definitely need & they do a great job. The furnace labors to heat the camper when using in really cold Temps & our 1st winter using it we had to have a limet switch replaced. Blower worked but no heat! Really bad when it was 14 out! For the list price of $84k it's visually appealing, but the craftsmanship leaves MUCH to be desired. We have trim pieces popping off, vents without all the screws, things not working after only 2 -4 uses. Another thing we had happen was, due to the way the slides come in on both the kitchen & the living room, you don't have access to check drawers before opening the slides. We double checked our drawers before transit, but when we opened the slides at our site, apparently 1 drawer in the kitchen & one in the living room popped open slightly but enough to catch on the slide as it was opening. We ceased opening as quickly as we could but not before the damage was done & it ripped off the drawer front & damaged one of the tracks. I contacted Grand Design about this but was told I had to contact my dealer who of course was going to charge me for the new drawers. As of right now I've still not replaced them. My overall feeling is that the camper is comfortable/spacious & for weekend camping great, but if you do any extended stays, the quality & craftsmanship is greatly lacking. Trying to get help to address my issues on this new unit was horrible. I personally would not buy another Grand Design unless there were more improvements in those two areas & their customer service.

I know based on the cost of this unit it is supposed to be high quality. I am very disappointed in the overall quality of this brand of 5th wheel. I have owned many different brands and styles and this one even though it looks nice from the outside has been nothing but trouble. I cannot begin to explain the problems that exist with this rig, but they range from simple details that should not exist to appliances that do not function correctly. Support is very very slow in coming, I have been waiting months for warranty work that needs to be performed.
My advise is be very careful when looking at these RV's make sure you take your time and do a complete inspection of your rig and do not sign anything until all issues are resolved. Do not allow them to say that they checked the appliances so you don't need to.
once you pull it off the lot it's your problem.

The day we brought it home we had our first issue. GD and our dealer (Spader's RV Sioux Falls SD) bent over backwards and took care of us right away. I love the floor plan but in the first 1.5 years we have 3 files about 2" each of warranty issues from major, complete hydraulic system replaced; leaking that cannot be resolved near fireplace to thermostat replaced, decals, furniture twice for recliners. I suspect we got a lemon but not protected in Canada from this. The minor stuff is numerous. It is suppose to be for extended stay but it is like a sieve. Sad as we bought new. Not worth the money. RV quality has gone down hill over the years in most brands from what I can see. We bought this brand because of reviews and what the owners promised re quality.

We ordered this RV with all the options but 2. I has a great floor plan and is easy to maintain. We had 1 issue with the Refrigerator quit. Took it to the Dealer, they replaced it under warranty. Has great storage and pulls down the highway very well. The self leveling jacks are great. All in all it is a very comfortable home. We had it with the Arctic package. That is wonderful also.

We have been fulltime in our 365Den for almost 2 years now, we have had very few, minor issues, all of them being with componets, such as the fireplace quitting, and the AC quitting, both of those items were taken of very quickly and efficiently, including overnight shipping of the AC unit! This is our 3rd RV and nowhere else have we had support like we do here, the other rvs also had issues, and it was a painful process with less than desirable results to get anything done via warranty, I ended up paying out of pocket for most items. Is Grand Design perfect? Maybe not, but in my opinion they are the very best in their class.

On a trip to Oregon, when we where ready to leave one of our slides would not go in. Having done everything I could do on my own, I had to get an RV service to come out and help get the slide in. $120 latter we were on the road and had to strap the slide so it would not come out while driving back home. Local dealer was over a month out to get it in, so I pulled it out myself, turns out the worm drive detached inside. I was able to put it back together myself. Grand Designs will not even refund me for the RV repair that came out for helping getting the slide back in. The slide drive system was made by Lippert, so beware of this part coming apart and leaving you stranded.

We bought this RV to use as a summer getaway on our lake property. We added a second air and washer dryer combo to make it homey.like all the features such as fireplace, walk-in shower that made it more like a home. Unit has been easy to maintain and has lots of storage. We got lots of compliments on it from friends and neighbors.

Please do not get suckered into one of these. We took it out for 5 trips and had issues on every 5 trips. 2 of the 5 we had to have a service tech meet us at the RV park, and one of those they had to tow the camper back to the dealership themselves. None of the warranties are transferrable to a second owner, so buyer beware.

I bought this trailer new in 2015. It sits on a permanent site. It was delivered in May 2015. Had to be brought back to dealer in Oct. Water line was bent so poor water. Air conditioner stopped working, Screws were loose in windows, stitching was not completed and came open in theater seat. Couch straps broke the first time it was open and slept on.(230#) Spline for awning came out and awning was rolling off. These things were repaired after much debate of how I at 63, must have a abused it. It was delivered back to site at end of May 2016. Everything seemed fine. In August the refrigerator went out. The furnace stopped working. The furnace had not been used the year before because it was in for repairs. In Oct. the new frig was put in and now is not working. Furnace was worked on by advised repairman and it worked one night then stopped. At that time a leak at the connection for the outside shower was discovered. I would NEVER buy another grand design. All of my neighbors were so excited to see this new unit and have watched all the issues with it. Don't be fooled by the beautiful floor plan. Cannot rate drivability because I have not pulled it.

Have had nothing but problems with this trailer. Black tank leaks, yawning will not pull in on one side, ceiling lights don\'t work, microwave had to be replaced and now the Furrion CD/DVD player quit working. Manufacturer will not fix anything. The dealer has tried but only made things worse. Drilled 14 large holes throw the side of the trailer trying to fix yawning. We have owned this trailer for less than a year. Dealer also had to replace the bottom after they cut numerous holes to fix black tank that still leaks. It is very disheartening that we spend this amount of money for a complete lemon and the manufacturer or dealer will not make it right.
I guess it is time to look for an attorney.

Only 1 A/C. That's not enough for Texas. Heater went out the first winter and busted all the water lines. Locks and latches are poor quality. Then A/C went out the next summer. Rear leveling jack went out recently so I have to jack it up manually. Awning is rotten. Weatherstripping comes off. I've had to re-glue it in several places. Bought it brand new and I've only used it three times I'll never buy another from Grand Design!! My first time...and my LAST!

This was our first brand new RV and looks like it will be our last.We have owned it for 2 years now and its been parked at the dealer for repairs twice in 2 yrs for over 4 months each time.It all started the first year we owned it i had roof vent covers installed by the deale,we were camping with some freinds and my freind asked if i have ever looked how they attached the covers to which I said no,he convinced me to go up on roof and look and what I found was shocking to say the least, the roof was torn from the front roof vent back about 6 ft,we were in a campsite. It was the weekend and had been raining for at least 3 days. That was a Saturday night when we discovered the ripped roof,we were in a small town and material available to repair the roof was limited, most bussiness were closed for the weekend.I managed to get the local lumber yard to open on a sunday and sell me some blueskin and glue and we patched the roof and went straight home to get it repaired, what a fight I had over that, they had the camper for 3 months and finally I got it back.I blamed poor workmanship on the repair expressed concerns about went insulation because the water ran down the front of the camper and onto our bed the dealer said the insulation was fine,I asked how did you check it the replied we dont need to we have experience in these matters and the insulation is fine, along with 2 pages of other things gone wrong we got it back, most of the items were not repaired properly, steroe dvd player still dont work,a year later while camping I noticed water coming in threw the skylight in the bathroom, went on the roof and it was ripped from front of camper by the roof vent 15 ft towards the back, that was early October as of today I still dont have the camper back and it hasn't been repaired yet they are waiting on the roof supplier to see if they will replace it,this is absolutely rediculas, slides dont seal properly awning doesn't roll up straight the list is endless,I would never recommend this camper or the RV dealer to anyone,I feel I should get a new camper but dont know how to deal with this anyone have any advice I would appreciate it

We have had a pop up, a 25ft 5th,a 33ft Georgetown motorhome and now the Grand Design Reflection 303RLS, so this is not our first rodeo. shower valve leaked inside wall, water manifold had crack, kitchen sink cracked, island had to be moved(it hit table)and both slides went out of alignment so Bad EVERY year that the rug by recliners and table was ruined And the linoleum in front of entertainment center ripped. It spends more time in the shop than a campgrounds or our house !!!!

I'm the second owner of my Momentum and have had nothing but problems with it since I've owned it. It has had numerous water leaks. I took it to a repair vessel to get the recall fixed on the suspension. I had the shop check a spoagy spot in my floor in front of my pantry. They called me and told me I had bad water damage in the floor . I got a estimate and it was $16,000 to repair it.

The design is what sold us.
After camping in the RV for two years this is what we have found that are troublesome.
Awning motor has been replaced once and is still not strong enough to bring in the awning, we need to stand on the picnic table and help it with a broom. Position of awning does not allow kitchen camper door to open all the way. Awning has an automatic rain release this does not work due to the fact of water pooling in the middle of the awning on top of the kitchen slide-out. After a rain you need to take a broom handle and push the water up off of the kitchen slide-out before retracting the awning.
We only have 6 hours on the awning lights and they are burnt out.
Holding tank drainage system is a real pain. The Trap seals do not seal tight and there is always liquid in the tube. Can never completely drain system unless you put your camper at an incline. We believe this is why we have a periodic sewer smell in our camper.
DVD player in living room only lasted one season.
We have no issues with the dealer at this point. Bringing it in to see if we can get the above issues taken care of.

While we love this rv, we have had only problems with the leveling system panel. It has had to be replaced once and now will not work at all. Thought this was high quality but it was in the shop the first month I purchased it. Wiring to both TVs were not connected and construction debris blocked sewer. Seems that Grand design might have an issue with quality control in its factory. It has been 7 months now and we have used it for 4 short trips. Some of the wood trim is loose, the slide mechanism needs adjusting and my auto leveling system panel does not have power. I bought a new battery ($90) and still no power.
I love the floor plan and towing ability but to need to put a new rig into the shop twice within the first year speaks to the questionable quality of this $100,000 Fifth wheel. Very difficult to get local support for problems. numerous calls, long waits for call backs and repair times.

WE had this rig for about 26 months. It was a nice rig, but continually had problems with it. It stayed in the shop almost as much as we had it at home. We finally got tired of the problems and traded it in. The trade in and re-sale value was about half what we paid for it. So it did not hold it's value at all.. We got another Grand Design because it was a much smaller bumper pull, and because we got a better deal trading it in where we bought it, which wasn't much. We have already had problems with the new Grand Design, and will most likely not buy another one. We have had several other brands, and had less problems with most of them..

this is an outstanding RV! the first obvious indication of the quality is the design engineering that can be seen before you even enter the RV. open the basement door and the storage area is not only very large but there are no obstructions of any kind from plumbing, wiring are anything! just open storage! now check the propane locations and the outside control center. (now look at any other 5th wheel!) inside there are no floor vents to hinder the placement of floor matts or to step on and break. all air is vented and returned out of site and hidden from view from under the cabinets. while décor is somewhat subjective it is obvious that a great deal of professional expertise was used in this area. everything flows and matches seamlessly. this is an outstanding RV and an outstanding company.

I have lived in this RV since I bought in August 2015, it had one owner for six months who traded it for a Toy Hauler while I was at the dealer shopping around. I had to take out the packing tape and papers off the stove and refrigerator myself since the guy only used it twice. I have had no problems at all with it. It is constructed superbly. And it is truly a four seasons rig, I have tested it and normally there is 5-7 degrees difference from the temp outside. Keeps the inside nice and comfortable. One design draw back I find is that the awning ends right by the door and when it rains you will get wet. In addition, the living room slide also ends by the door and the rain water will come down right next to the door as well. It is now to big for me and I have to downsize but I honestly wish I could keep it.

I would go in with your eyes wide open. GD is just another regular RV with many problems. With the recent buyout it will only get worse quickly.

The Grand Design owners web site is tightly controlled. Don't take it seriously. Those who bring up good things are rewarded with free service and parts, attention many of us will not get. For those who may say a bad thing you will be scolded quickly or worst case booted from the sight.

Check out the " sticky Leaking Grease Seals " about 20+ pages. Sight owner deletes when it gets to big or not to his liking.

I started it in 2014 it grew to 100s of responses. At one point I asked about GD liability thread was deleted and I was banned by sight administrator within 24 hours
( guess who pays him )

In the end GD is just another RV. I hope this helps others.

I had a momentum. First the dealersold the unit I contracted to get by taking it to Arizona in an RV show. So I got a different one than I actually contracted for- they just crossed out the information and put in new stuff acting lie this was ok. Unit came defective in the gutter system. The only slam door not slam latch sealed is where the controls for the hydrolics are. The gutter is pieced right above this door and water leaks down the wall. I had this addressed twice and each time they put silicone caullking vs replacing the gutter. So it bubbled up in the gutter while I was in San Marcos Texas. A huge rain storm came and the water poured down the wall, leaking into the door in the storage area running through the controls. When the emergency call to leave came at 3 am the unit had shorted out it was not possible to move the hydrolic feet. The unit had to be left and was hit with 40 ft wall of water, filing it up over te bed in the upper level. With insurance depreciation I lost $30K. I will NEVER buy a product from them again! The didnt care when I called and they never recalled any of the other units I have seen with exactly the same problem. I have purchased a keystone product that has better creature comforts and is also made well- and with it being last years model I have gotten a SCREAMING deal on a 100K trailer.

the momentum design is horrible The TV is on the wall and you have to look over the kitchen counter to see it from the sofa. Best place to see the TV is the single bed area over the garage powder room! To see the fireplace one must lie down on one's side and peek around the kitchen island. There is no table and if you put the one up by the sofa you can't walk around it! The sofa is horrible- designed to sit straight up only and has little red pull things that poke you if you aren't careful HOW you sit on the sofa- only place to sit.

theTV is horrible and cheap. The sound system is wired stupidly so it is not easy to use the surround sound. The kitchen is limited as well. My faucet leaked and I had to fix it.

Did I mention that my trailer came with a family of mice residing in the kitchen cabinets?

I do not recommend this trailer. I do not recommend the central Grand Design company who knows all about this and has made no effort to correct their mistakes in this trailer. Beware if you purchase one of these.

We purchased this unit new in Jan/15. It has had problems from the first day. Took it home and had snow coming in under the slide. LR slide drags hard on the floor scuffing the flooring and will eventually tear it.It has been in several times for this issue and still not repaired. Some of the trim is placed to close together causing it to hit each other when travelling. Awning pulled away from the wall first time used. Still waiting for this to be fixed.Warranty has been very slow to respond. everytime parts need to be ordered it seems to take 4-5 weeks to get anything.Lots of small problems. It should have 16" wheels. There are some good ideas on this unit but overall lacking in customer support.
