2018 Forest River Salem Hemisphere Travel Trailer 26RLHL (Rear Living space Hyper Lite).
If you're new to trailers and RVs, rear living space means the bedroom is in the front and there's no bunks, the spare is a couch that turns into a bed. It's ideal for two people who wont have company, like kiddos.
We're the original owners and bought it in August 2018, so it's nearly one year old but only used last season. Originally we'd planned to keep it a while longer, but my wife is pregnant with our first child! Accordingly, we're looking to move this thing and we will entertain your offer!
Besides the attached pics of the trailer here are some video walkthroughs we did:
https://youtu.be/sNkCMimPdfI (exterior video)
https://youtu.be/MpflkmNO1tU (interior video)
We've learned a ton about how to properly care for and use this trailer and no dealership could match our willingness to share and teach. We'll give you much more than a walkthrough, helping you learn each part of ownership for hours if you need, and we would be happy to give you our phone numbers in case you ever have a question we could help with. We'd encourage you calling. We know the learning curve, and wished we'd had more help than our dealership gave ourselves, so it's only right we do it for you. If you'd like we might be able to even record some videos of the most common to do items.
7 YEAR EXTENDED WARRANTY
The trailer is in near perfect condition, and with an extended 7 year warranty you'll be able to keep it that way worry free. Take it to any authorized Forest River dealer, and most large RV dealerships are, like Camping World, and they'll fix what's broken and give it back to you without a bill. It's so easy. Most trailers have a few little things that weren't done quite right off the factory line or go wrong over time and we've had the pleasure of getting some of these out of the way for you with that warranty! Our stove vent hood motor fried but the new one is much higher quality. The under carriage had some draftiness in the cold and now has additional insulation. A few more small things here and there. All of it was free to fix. If something more serious happens this warranty even covers a couple nights hotel reimbursement! It's a major selling point.
TIRE AND WHEEL PROTECTION
And free road side assistance or towing.
TONS OF NATURAL LIGHT AND HUGE PICTURE WINDOW
There are huge windows that wrap around the back and side providing tons of natural light and giving you the ability to feel immersed in whatever beautiful location you're parked. You can't see in through the tinting in the daylight, so keep them all wide open, and at night each window has modern looking black out privacy shades that pull down seamlessly. In front of the large picture window at the rear and next to the main door there's two reclining chairs that go nearly horizontal. Back this trailer up to any view on your trip and you wont want to leave. It's the largest back window we saw in any campground we went to across the country, and was a huge selling point for us. We know one of the biggest things in trailer hunting is finding a layout and design that work for you, and one of our main things was natural light and a good flow.
MODERN, COMFORTABLE INTERIOR DESIGN
The recliners and loveseat sofa (which becomes a bed for a guest) are a slick grey suede. We opted for the upgraded black dinette set with the table and 4 dining chairs instead of the bench seating. This does provide less storage but really classes up the joint, and you will not lack storage overall. There's even some under the seats of the chairs! We also opted for the large sized camping fridge and freezer. This means that although you're foregoing the residential style stainless steel you have the ability to run the system off propane, allowing you to take a few days between power outlets without your food spoiling. Three days seemed about tops for the 1 battery unless you buy a trickle charger, like a solar panel, and this trailer features plug n play for it if you want one. We'd recommend it if you like the idea of boondocking from time to time. The kitchen is lined with a very realistic, durable faux white granite, and that's one of those elements that really surprises guests who expect trailers to look like your grandparents' version. Dark wood cabinetry and light wood flooring also lend to the modern and classier look. People love the large sink and detachable nozzle.
Three burner stove and small oven, built in microwave, television with DVD player, cable and satellite hookups, surround sound inside and out on two channels, central heat and air on an automatic thermostat, an outdoor mount for your tv if you want to tailgate or watch movies outside, another mount in the bedroom, outdoor shower, roomy indoor shower stall, and queen sized Denver Mattress bed with under storage on hydraulics for easy access. It has one slide out on the driver side that is easy to operate on the button panel or remote control, and an awning controlled by the same. Power jacks also run on the remote if desired, so you can practically do arrival and departure sitting down. All the aesthetics are very modern and intuitive.
Additionally, we'll provide equipment we purchased such as: water hose, sewer hose, shelving/storage, levels, carpet wrapping for the stairs, etc, and we'll throw in our American flag.
Hopefully you've noticed that our model is priced under the lowest list prices at all the dealerships in the greater Bay Area. If you're shopping around note their list price then ask what the price out the door would be. They'll add things like their walkthrough fee. You'd be paying them over $1,000 to show you how to operate the thing for an hour. Then there's all sorts of additional fees. Our price is all you pay. Here are some comparisons:
https://www.cordeliarv.com/inv/2020-Forest-River-Salem-Hemisphere-26RLHL-25025/ - Here's the 2020 version of our trailer. You'd end up paying $32-$33k. It's practically the same thing we have for $5-6 thousand less.
https://rv.campingworld.com/rvdetails/new-travel-trailer-rvs/2019-heartland-mallard-idm25-rear-living-20k-SAC1572069 - This one has a similar layout, but what a hideous interior!
https://rv.campingworld.com/rvdetails/new-travel-trailer-rvs/2019-forest-river-wildcat-maxx-245rgx-rear-living-20k-SAC1564110 - This is again a comparable layout, but not nearly as nice without that back feature window, and you'll end up paying 30k walking out the door.
https://rv.campingworld.com/rvdetails/used-travel-trailer-rvs/2016-coachmen-freedom-express-276rkds-rear-living-20k-SAC1570705A - Here's one where you might end up paying what we're charging. It's a 2016, and it looks like it's designed for old folks! ;)
https://www.seegrinsrv.com/inv/2016-Lance-Lance-2285-5625A/#mainpic - So overpriced.
https://www.lamesarv.com/2019/winnebago-towables/minnie/travel-trailer/lx125655 - Here's a 2019 with rear living area, and you might pay about what we're charging, probably more, and the interior again is just a joke.
OPTIONAL STABILIZER ARM HITCH RECEIVER FOR YOUR VEHICLE
Optionally you can purchase our E2 Rockaway Fastbar Hitch with stabilizing arms for less sway, more stability, and easier maneuvering through tight turns on the road and when parking. It's a breeze to hook up and dismantle at each campground once you know how, so you'll be free to unhook and use your vehicle around town. We do not recommend you go straight ball and hitch as there's too much sway.
Box length: 26 feet.
Exterior total length: 30'1" from bumper to the edge of the hitch.
Exterior height: 10'10"
Exterior width: 96"
fresh water tank: 49 gallons
gray water tank: 32 gallons
black water tank: 32 gallons
awning size: 16'
Unloaded vehicle weight: 5728 lbs
Cargo carrying capacity: 1897 lbs
Hitch weight: 625 lbs
This is why they call it the Hyper Lite. At under 6000 lbs before added weight it can be pulled by so many trucks and SUVs. No need to get a half ton. We used a 2016 Ford Expedition with Ecoboost, and if you want to buy that with it we can sell it too.
2016 FORD EXPEDITION WITH ECOBOOST - $24,000
As mentioned we're also selling the vehicle we pulled it with. We don't need anything this sized anymore without the trailer. It's in great condition. The interior's recently been fully detailed. It's got a sunroof, rear ac controls, Sirius ready, three rows of seats all fold down. We're able to throw in all the seat covers we used to keep it fresh. If anyone's interested in both of them together you get first dibs and $500 off the total price.
