FOR SALE: Excellent Condition -One Owner, Non-Smoker, No Pets $69,000 $65,000 USD
Class A - Diesel / Edgewood , WA

History:
Our coach was built in June 2000 at the Bend Oregon Beaver Plant before Monaco’s buyout. We purchased it from Beaver Motor Coach at the Tacoma Dome RV Show in 2000 where it was their show coach.

Our shopping requirements leading us to the purchase of this coach were; we wanted a simple, dependable, high quality, well-engineered and constructed mid-size coach built by a well-respected company with quality after sale service. Tough requirements but our 18 years of experience has proven these requirements were well met.

For the first year we drove the coach around Washington State along with a trip to Mexico. In 2002 we purchased an RV lot in Surprise Arizona and the coach since then has been our winter home. With the winters in Arizona and summers in Washington State it has seen the best weather of both.

We love our coach, but it’s time in our life to simplify and downsize with the hope that someone else can enjoy this great coach as much as we have.

Please note we have included 61 photos in this ad. The first 48 are of the exterior and interior. Photos 49 through 51 are listings of specifications and features, with added, upgraded or replaced entries in italics. Photos 52 through 59 are of the original Beaver Monterey 2001 brochure. And lastly Photos 60-61 are maintenance record. These Photos are used in the following descriptions.

Exterior Features and Accessories:
The green color scheme is very pleasant and as a plus it doesn’t show the dust and dirt as some other colors do (Photos1-2-3-4-50).

Both slides are on driver side (Photo4) which allows the passenger side an unencumbered outdoor area to enjoy barbequing with friends and family. If needed the 20’ wide awing will provide cover (Photo7). Also the large dining room window (Photo23) makes a great pass-thru for food and drink from the coach kitchen to this outdoor living area.

Easy access and storage abounds with a mix of 11 utility and storage bays. No crawling under slides to access the storage bay doors since the two front driver side bays are part of the slide and come out with it. Also the bedroom slide is high enough for easy access and the passenger side has unlimited access to its bays (Photos9-10-11-14-15-16-17-18).
The coach is equipped with a complete Road Master towing system. Included with the hitch is a protective tow car shield, bicycle rack, storage rack, covers and pneumatic brake system (Photos12-13). The brake system consists of a compressor (Photo15) with air-line that goes to a brake pedal activator which pushes on the tow car brake pedal when the coach brakes are applied. There also is a coach dash light that turns on during activation.

It’s been said that commercial truck tires ware out where RV tires rot out. With that in mind the coach has Goodyear RV tires which have UV protection but at a premium price. The originals were also Goodyear RV and when replaced at 50k they still looked great.

Except for minor scrapes and scratches the coach’s exterior is free of physical damage; however it is not exempt from age related paint blemishes. Most of the paint shines as it did 18 years ago at the Tacoma RV Show; however there are a few areas where the clear coat has peeled and some areas that have been re-cleared.

Other exterior items that should be mentioned, and are shown in the photos and specs are: Plexiglas front end shield (Photo5), sun screen front windshield-windows shades (Photo3-5), full RV cover (Photos8-9), two 100 watt solar panels (Photo6), kitchen ceiling fan roof cover (Photo6), seven double pane sliding windows (three with awning (Photos3-5)), full width rear mud flap (Photo12), rear roof ladder(Photo12), roof mounted automatic HD satellite antenna (Photos4-6), and two roof air conditioners (Photo6)

Interior Features and Accessories:
The Luxury Package interior includes solid western maple cabinetry and Fountainhead countertops throughout (Photos22-23-26-33). The floors are ceramic tile in the bathroom and dinning-kitchen area with sculptured rug in the front room (Photo21). The bathroom has the optional Garden Tub/Shower with the upgraded 10 gallon hot water heater. Bedroom has a carpeted floor as does the closet floors.

The couch is a pull out sleeper bed suitable for one adult or two friendly children (Photos36-37)

There are two laptop PC locations; the bedroom (Photos25-26) and the living room (Photos34-35). Both have cables installed but depending on the PC it may not be plug and play. The living room station is on the pull-up and out table. The passenger seat is rotated and a booster cushion is used for increase sitting height. To the right of the bedroom station on the lower shelf of the dresser there is a charging station and space for a wireless printer (not included) (Photo26).

Interior storage is everywhere; under the couch, under the bed (Photos28-29-30), under dresser bottom drawer (Photo32), under the counter to the rear of the kitchen sink plus all the usually places.

The steering wheel can support a useful round table (Photo38-39-40).

For those hot low humidity nights down south, there is a portable humidifier that produces a fine mist in the bedroom and is great for sleeping. It is stored in the bedroom rear closet.

When traveling down the highway there is nothing quite like a diesel Class A pusher’s low noise, its high panoramic view to watch the scenery go by and complimented by a good audio system to listen to.To this end the original dashboard car radio was replaced with a Kenwood deck (Photo42-44) and 10-CD changer. The Kenwood has two remotes, one of which is mounted on the steering wheel. This is great for safe driving because of the ability to select stations or CDs and control volume etc. without taking eyes off the road and while keeping hands on the wheel. The original factory six ceiling speaker system have been retained with a floor standing woofer added that is switchable to home theater system.

Mounted on the dash is a hand held Cobra CB and a mount for mobile phone. The old and the new technology! (Photo42)

We have changed the center dash area to include a cubby and small Plexiglas folding table. When traveling these are handy for storing iPads, small travel computer or just to set the driver’s lunch on (Photos43-44). When settled in and on shore power the cuddy can be home for a digital clock (included).

When parked overnight or extended stay and either on RV or shore power, is when the home theater system comes into play. Over the past 18 years the coach’s home theater system has under gone several upgrades.

What we now have is a system that provides High Definition television with 5.1 Dolby or other audio configurations. Inputs to the system are satellite DirecTV, Blu-ray/DVD/CD, USB, Mobile device, Bluetooth, Wireless, Cable company, etc. The components are: fully automatic roof top satellite HD antenna, DirecTV satellite HD recording receiver, Yamaha audio-video Wi-Fi Home Theater receiver, Samsung Smart TV, Blu-ray player, HDMI Laptop connections, 5 speakers plus woofer. Please see the Spec sheet (Photo51) for addition information.

The ceiling front room cabinet (Photos46-47-48) houses the main components. The cabinet is well ventilated and has automatic temperature controlled fan and digital thermometer (Photo45). The adjacent cabinet is wired for internet modem and router. Component manuals and information is included and there are also apps available for help. Please see the Spec sheet (Photo51) and (Photos40-47-48).

The coach is wired with an IR (inferred) remote repeater system with sensors in front room and bedroom. We used a Logitech Harmony Universal 720 remote (not included) but the system should work with one of their more current universal IR models. Included are the remotes that came with each component and they work with the IR system.

The bedroom 13” color TV is original factory installed (Photo25). Since we do not use it much and could not find a replacement flat screen TV that would fit the existing cabinetry, which we didn’t want to modify, we did not replace it. It does receive in standard definition video of what is being received on front room DirecTV receiver and responds to the DirecTV remote for video and its own for audio.

As with the bedroom TV we did not want tear up the beautiful front room maple cabinets for a larger TV. We were looking something in the 38 to 40 inch size but that size would not fit nicely. What we found and installed a 32 inch Samsung Smart TV and mounted it on a pull out swivel mount. When pulled out, it visually looked to be equivalent to 38 to 40 inch size. As added bonus the mount allowed access to room behind the TV for remote control storage, a place for the satellite control box and made easy cable and wire routing. When connected to an internet provider the Smart TV provides the connection to apps such as Netflix, Prime and many others. (Photos38-39-40-41)

Utilities
Simple, low maintenance, safe and reliable propane supplies the energy for the ducted furnace, 10 gallon water heater, cooktop burners (Photo22), Onan generator (Photo14) and is selectable on the Dometic refrigerator-ice maker (Photo23). The large 55 gallon propane tank has electronic metering for easy monitoring of use.

The dash heater/air-condition system has been problematical. The heater part is fine but the dash air-conditioner part leaks down over a years’ time and then needs to be recharged. We have had the Factory and several RV air-condition shops diagnose, replace parts and pronounce it fixed, only to have the charge last for a year or so. When driving and really need cooling our work-around is to start the generator and use the front ceiling air-conditioner. Alternately if going on long trip it could be charged at the start and recharged as needed.

When on shore power the coach’s heating system normally utilizes the ducted propane furnace to bring the heat up to comfort level in the early morning and two 120 volt ceramic portable space heaters cubes to maintain or supplement it through the day. The space heaters are controlled by wall mounted thermostats which we wired to breaker in the main electric control panel (Photos24-34). When off shore power the furnace does it all.

The dining room and bedroom each have a panel which has the furnace, roof air condition, and electric space heater controls. The dining room panel also has a master weather station control with wireless remote sensor stations in the freezer, outside under the front cap and on the bedroom panel (Photos23-25).

For a two people travelling there is enough fresh water (100 gallons), gray and black water capacity (50 gallons each) for a week or so. Again there is metering to keep track of usage (Photo45).

Manuals, records and spare parts
The factory original Owners Manuals, appliance manuals, accessary manuals and maintenance records are included. All in all a large tote of coach information both specific, general and how-to.

Included are new and used parts such engine belts, fittings, filters light bulbs, engine fluids, new icemaker, etc.

Thanks for looking.
