In the RV design world, commitment is all the rage these days – commitment to a style, indulging just about whatever preferences you might have for looks and function. Compared to cookie cutter offerings of the past, the hottest selling RVs are the ones with a personality that’s hard to miss.

Design Milk has put together some photo galleries of the most stylish RVs in 2016. One of their top picks is a special edition Airstream travel trailer designed in collaboration with Pendleton and the National Park Foundation, with upholstery and woodwork to suit the theme and pair well with the iconic Airstream look.

On the retro end, they have exciting pictures of Happier Camper trailers. Some are retro in a minimalist, modern sense, while others look more like they were designed at Woodstock!

Apartment Therapy has another great list of best RV brands leading the way for RV travel trailer design trends.  These include the “space age” models by Texas-based Casita Travel Trailers with cool fiberglass bodies. Re-issues of old Serro-Scotty trailers also make the list – it’s certainly a trend for RV makers to revisit classic designs like the new / old Winnebago Brave and some of the Shasta Flytes. As in fashion and cocktails, the trends point toward doing things the old-fashioned way.

Of course, all those throwbacks and vintage-inspired RVs come with modern amenities that nobody could have dreamed of half a century ago.

Inside the trendy teardrop trailers and the rugged tiny home RVs that are selling like hotcakes, you will find the other big trend: high-quality furniture, full-fledged kitchens, and all the creature comforts that the designers can creatively fit into the space.
