Photo Taking Tips for Your Online RV Ad
Posted by Shawn Friesen | Vice President of RVT.com on Mar 25, 2009Seeing is believing. When you sell your RV online on RVT.com, the photos you post with your ad allow potential buyers to see what you’re talking about. In the written text of your ad you can wax eloquent about your RV’s “beautiful kitchen” and “gleaming oak cabinets” with “tons of storage space,” but a series photos that actually show off each of these features will make a much greater impact on potential buyers.
Adding high quality photos to your online RV ad allows you to take buyers on a virtual tour of your RV. It helps to differentiate your RV from dozens of others and gives you a chance to show off features that set your RV above the competition.
To get the most from the photos you include with your ad, follow these tips:
> Show your RV off to its best advantage. Thoroughly wash and clean it inside and outside so it sparkles.
> Take photos on a bright, sunny day. Turn on all inside lights inside and use a spotlight or shoplight to illuminate rooms, cabinets, inside closets, etc.
> Outside, walk around your RV, taking photos from each angle: front, back and each side. Get a good shot of the whole RV. If your RV has a slideout, awning, roof deck or any other special features, take photos of your RV both in travel-ready mode and with all features fully extended.
> Inside, take photos of each area: living room, sleeping areas, kitchen, bathroom and cab. Take photos of convertibles in both open and closed positions. Take extra photos with cabinets, fridge and closets open to show storage space. Take close-ups of utilities and special features and any decor (curtains, etc.) that will be included.
