If you need a break from the bowl games on New Year’s Day, tune in HGTV for the cable TV channel’s annual look at new RV trends. Every New Year’s, the home and garden network turns its spotlight on recreational vehicles and the RV lifestyle to take a look at new RV models and their features. This year the fun starts with back-to-back episodes of Celebrity Motor Homes at 5 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. (Eastern and Pacific times). Bret Michaels, Trace Adkins, Leonardo DiCaprio, Shaq O’Neal and the U.S. Olympic Gymnastic Team are among the celebrities that will open their luxury motorhomes to viewers for in-depth tours of their decked-out digs.
At 6 p.m. (Eastern and Pacific), RV 2013 will explore new trends in the RV industry and showcase some of the best new RVs on the market. Filmed at the huge Hershey, Pennsylvania RV show earlier this year, HGTV host Brandon Johnson follows several families as they shop for their dream RVs. Among the RVs to be highlighted are Fleetwood’s Class A Excursion and Discovery motorhomes and Fleetwood’s popular Jamboree Sport Class C motorhome.
The show also takes a look at the growing market for luxury motorhomes. Gourmet kitchens and lavish amenities are among the outstanding features that are driving interest in the luxury RV market. Among the luxury models featured during the show is the new 2013 American Heritage, the latest addition to the American Coach luxury RV line.
Tune in and check out what’s new for 2013, then use the advanced search feature on RVT.com to find new and used RV models with the features you want.
