RVers Hit Highway to Avoid Memorial Day Rush

Posted by on May 21, 2010

Quite a few RVers plan to hit the highway today, getting a one-week jump on anticipated Memorial Day crowds. The unofficial start of summer, Memorial Day is one of America’s busiest travel and camping weekends. Despite the traditional bump in gas prices, 32.1 million Americans are expected to start traveling today and through the end of next weekend. According to a recent AAA survey, that’s 2 million more travelers than last year, an encouraging sign for our still struggling economy. Americans are still keeping a tight rein on expenses, however; and the bulk of Memorial Day travelers will be traveling by car or RV. RV travel continues to be the most economic way to vacation, considerably undercutting the cost of plane/hotel travel.

With the start of the summer travel season nearly here, traffic on RVT.com is reaching fever pitch as families tune into the economic advantages of RV travel. From inexpensive folding trailers (pop up campers) and truck campers to spacious travel trailers and motorhomes, RVT.com online classified ads offer thousands of new and used RVs for sale at very affordable prices. Motivated RV buyers are flocking to RVT everyday to scope out the online RV ads and cut their own deals with RV sellers. Americans tired of staycations are buying new and used RVs online at RVT and hitting the road for summer fun! Isn’t it time you joined them?
