This is a new 2014 Trend 23B first sold this spring. In Service date is April 7, 2016. All factory warranties began on April 7, 2016! Unit had nearly 4,500 delivery miles on arrival in OKC. Has only been lived in for 2 weeks and 4,500 miles on a trip to the Carolinas and Florida end of July. Occupants were 3 adults and 4 grandkids aged 2 through 8.
Ample sleeping room for all with the sofa and dinette made out into a 70" x 87" bed for an adult and 4 kids. Also has dropdown queen bed for 2 adults.
Kids watched 19" tv mounted in cabinet below ceiling bed and top bed people watched 26" tv at eye level.
Trend has Bluetooth sound system with speakers inside and outside plus a DVD player tied in to both tvs. I
The 2800 watt Onan generator had no problem keeping up with overhead A/C, microwave, tvs, etc. Outside temps were 95 to 100 degrees so generator needed except at night when shore power was available.
Refrigerator stayed ice cold for the full 2 weeks. Bags of ice from home remained frozen solid entire time.
There are more than enough 110v outlets along with USBs And 12v sockets throughout to keep up with 7 sets of hand-held devices and phones for a crowd!
The on-demand water heater actually works very well. Took several showers and had to turn the temperature down!
This Trend drives and handles like a big van, will actually spin the tires if you start too fast. It easily runs over 75 mph, but feels most comfortable between 64-68 to stay in 6th gear. Only 7'6" wide and 24' long makes it easy to park in diagonal spots. Was able to park on the street in places like Savannah, Ga. Where anything bigger just wouldn't fit!
All the above amenities are essentially standard on Trend 23s. This one is very different in that there is over $2,000 invested in aftermarket accessories and improvements!
I have never seen a Trend with a spare tire. This unit includes the proper Continental Vanco Four Seasons 225/75R16C/121R tire with cover mounted to the roof so you won't be stranded somewhere hoping to find the right replacement tire!
Some later model Trends have short narrow "step boards". This one has wide running boards that span the entire door from the mudflap to under the coach body.
Trend cab floor has several hatches that should not have liquid spilled on. This one has the full coverage WeatherTech mat to prevent any liquid damage!
Dodge dealer reflashed engine software and verified all specs before the July trip. Installed K&N lifetime engine air filter and did oil and oil filter change at that time.
Installed a Curt brand aluminum 20" x 60" folding cargo carrier for bulky items plus a bicycle carrier. These are mounted on a custom-welded hitch mount with both 1.25" AND 2" receivers side by side. Carried ten 2 x 12 x 18 wood blocks, four chairs, and large baby stroller on the cargo carrier which would have more than used all the outside compartment space otherwise!
The rear skids now have welded-on steel rollers with greasable ball bearings.
In short, this Trend has the features that Winnebago should have included but didn't!
It is a great coach for a couple of people but a little small for seven. Selling to make way for larger coach with slideouts!
Will take however much time is necessary to demonstrate all the available features and systems on this unit to the new owner!
