Class C / Morris , IL
This the Toyota RV you have been looking for! It is rare and unique especially because it is NOT a project! Just the opposite — everything has been carefully gone over to be as nice as possible. My assistant and I have spent over a year intentionally restoring this coach to be optimally usable for the next owners. Toyota RVs are our hobby and we take pride in our work. We take satisfaction when we can put one back on the road as it was meant to be.
"Way above average" aptly describes this coach. The reasons will become obvious when you read its many features and upgrades.
First of all, this model is an Odyssey, which it has the largest interior space of any brand of Toyota RV, even though it is the standard 21’ in length. This has the rare 'Rear Lounge' floorplan which is the most sought-after because of the extra large rear panorama windows on three sides. Sitting in the rear you can enjoy the view from your campsite by the seashore, the lake, the mountains, or wherever.
Notably, this particular RV now has a custom-built 6’ desk with chairs that makes for a convenient mobile office set-up including a full-size file cabinet, desk organizers, and convenient 110v outlets. (See photos.) It also has an onboard GENERATOR (2800 watt Onan Microlite brand, recently serviced) to provide 110v power when “off the grid.”
Thirdly it has a V-6 engine (not a 4 cylinder) so you have more adequate power for climbing hills, and you can have the ability to tow a moderate load. Interstate speeds of 70 mph are easy to maintain and the ride in the cab is much quieter. Toyota engines are known for their longevity and great gas mileage especially compared to any other RVs of the same size and price. The chassis with automatic transmission can get up to 15 miles per gallon. It has only a very modest amount of miles for a Toyota engine (98K). The 1990 model year is the next-to-last year that any Odyssey motorhomes were built on a Toyota chassis.
The six tires are reasonably new (2014), Hankook brand (proper Load Range D). The rear tires have steel-braided valve extenders for ease of inflation. The spare tire is hidden in a stylishly-designed compartment on the rear. Vehicle has six-lug wheels throughout. There are no applicable recalls for the engine or axle.
Recently it was serviced by a reputable repair shop to make it roadworthy.
-- Engine oil and filter change
-- Generator just had oil change
-- Cab air conditioning serviced with fresh R-134a refrigerant
-- Radiator flushed with new Toyota red antifreeze and new radiator cap
-- All wheels balanced
-- Power steering stops replaced
Chassis service in the last two years includes:
-- Replaced timing belt, water pump, and hoses
-- Replaced shocks, front and rear
-- Replaced ignition wires and spark plugs
-- Replaced engine battery

The chassis has air springs in the rear to provide a more comfortable ride for passengers, and for leveling the coach somewhat while camping. A convenient onboard air compressor inflates the air springs, and dual gauges in cab the monitor the air pressure for each side (a rare upgrade for a Toyota RV).
This RV was recently driven on a 1000-mile trip, and it was quite comfortable to drive and to camp in.
The exterior is molded fiberglass — more desirable. It has now been polished and detailed, and the exterior striping is replaced with new. (If you didn't know, finding a decent exterior on a Toyota RV is a hard thing to come by.) You can be proud to drive this very nice-looking coach.
For long-term travel, as was mentioned, Odyssey models are the largest and most spacious inside compared to other brands of Toyota RVs. The interior decor of this coach is in nice condition with abundant cabinetry and silver gray upholstery.
Rear-Lounge Floorplan specifics:
-- Extra large (4' x 6') rear window and large side windows for fantastic views
-- Extra long full-size overcab bed sleeps two adults
-- Rear sofa converts to a full-size bed for two (meaning it can sleep a total of four). Standard full-size bedding fits fine.
-- Kitchen (stove, double stainless sink, and refrigerator/freezer, microwave) is located in the center
-- Bathroom (located behind the driver) has toilet, sink, and separate shower (more desirable), plus cabinets for storage
-- A 6-foot desk and file cabinet on the passenger side rear makes for a convenient mobile office
-- Optional table sets up in front of the rear sofa
-- 2 seatbelts on the sofa allow for a total of 4 passengers
-- Excellent storage throughout -- significantly more than the average number of cabinets in the main coach, both above and below
-- 21 feet in length overall (very easy to park in a regular parking space)
