In the fall of 2016, my two kids and I wanted to tour the country for a month or two to try on new communities before settling down into a new home that we would "discover" - a family adventure of a lifetime! Hotels were out of our budget, so I decided to "camp," but I prefer glamping, which is why I bought camper that I could sell when the adventure was over- to invest in our new lives!
I researched the market for a camper that I could tow without spending a lot in gas (light and easy to tow over mountains) and could haul behind my Dodge Dakota (3/4 ton), but still provide each of us a bit of privacy (Teenager girl, Young Adult male and a Mom) - separate "bedrooms" without stepping over each other AND be easy to set up, since we would be traveling a lot with frequent stops and setups. For part of the trip, I would be traveling solo - so ease in setup and towing was equally important to all the other features. And of course, I wanted to care for it impeccably to protect my investment.
I found this Jayco FeatherLite and it was everything I wanted. But it's time to part with it, because owning it long-term does not fit in with my financial plans. We found our dream community, bought a house and it's time to sell. I'll miss it, but the good news is, it's in impeccable condition and ready for a new, adventurous home!
