I am selling this motor-home for my parents. My dad passed away a couple weeks ago and mom no longer has a use for it.
Attached is a copy of the ad from the RV dealer for $13,500. The sales receipt says they paid $12,500. I am sure dad bargained with them because the motorhome is nice but its definitely not LIKE NEW as the dealer would like you to believe in the ad. The dealer also listed it with all new tires but as it turned out 2 of them where not. So he had two additional Firestone tires installed at a cost of $650. He also installed new shocks and a new track-bar on the rear axle to bring the suspension up to snuff.
The dealer said the leveling system was not functioning and it still does not. This is to level the motorhome at an uneven camp ground. It is disconnected and probably needs a couple of the hoses replaced as well.
My Dad was a craftsman and he enjoyed designing and building things. I can tell you that he spend thousands of dollars on this motor-home as well as many enjoyable hours improving things. I am not going to total up the receipts as it would probably make my Mom angry. But I will tell you just a few of the things that have been done besides the tire and suspension stuff I already mentioned.
NEW camera system with rear view and side view cameras. (3 cameras total).
NEW stereo system with Bluetooth.
NEW GPS travel system
NEW Flatpanel TV near the windshield that folds up. I just pulled the plastic off it today.
NEW DVD player up front.
NEW Satellite dome on the roof so you can have Dish.
NEW TV in the master bedroom with NEW DVD player.
NEW Toilet, and new Faucets in the bathroom.
All NEW Linoleum flooring
NEW countertops throughout.
This is a premium motor-home with dual air conditioners and the optional washer/dryer, microwave, shower and all the amenities. This was the top of the line model with three separate bed areas. (master, sofa pull out and dinette). The engine is a 454 Chevrolet.
The mileage was 48,890 and they drove it home and made one camping trip here in Iowa. As I mentioned above he replaced the gauges which has the odometer so I cant give you the exact mileage but its under 50,000 miles.
There are lots of extras with it like extension cords, hoses, etc which are new.
Everything is well done and a nice unit. Could use a little more work but would make someone a nice motor-home. I only live a short distance from my parents and can show it about any time.
Comes with original owners/usage manuals as well as service and chassis manuals that he purchased extra.
