Back window was leaking first heavy rain, 2 weeks after purchase from dealer lot. Dealership sent someone out that just caulked the crap out of it. Still leaks during a heavy storm. Thankfully it's easy to clean up and maintain. Now both windows on each side of the loveseat leak. The sink frame gave way and fell inside the cabinets. They better supported it at the warranty repair, but their caulk job looked that of a toddler. They make you bring in your camper while it takes them months to repair the most simple items. Dealership tries like hell to get out of every warranty repair and bills you for their goons who are worth $10 hour but charge you hundreds per hour. The unit (2021) should have a tankless so you can shower as long as you choose! but alas... it's a small tank and hot water runs out quick. AC sounds like you're in a turbine!!! Can't carry a conversation indoors during the summer. Loud as HECK! Bed frame is cheap pressed wood and even average weight people will be replacing the wood. Lifting the bed for access to the cubby underneath is a job. Nothing to lock it in the up position so you have to balance the bed on your back to try and get anything in or out of it. I like the bathroom space but the extra sink is pointless; not enough room for two people in there at the same time. Porcelain toilet is a plus. Stairs squeaked after weeks of owning. Awning is separating from the mount and its motor corner covers detach falling on the ground. All the molding and trim falling off, even at the dealership new. I was assured they would fix it but NOPE. Promises even in writing are hard sought. the ceiling panels are falling as the pathetic staples are working their way out of the panels. Floor is weak and shakes the island. You can see the floor flex when someone walks. JUST RIDICULOUS. Floor should be better supported. THE WORST of the unit.... The slides aren't level. They wont fully extend to fall into position. So the far side of the slide is lower than the camper floor. The stove in the big slide, because of the slide not sitting properly, is not level causing the food to run to the back side of the pans. The table sits crooked permanently in the front slide. Had a repair company out and they weren't able to adjust it. Wood cabinet doors all shred out of the screw mounts. The front entry door handle opens on the wrong side. forces you up against the slide where you have to swing the door wide open to get in. Just stupid! Who the heck was in charge of that design?! SMH. The Black water and one Gray water are in the control station. The most used gray water handle is down in another hard to get to area? like what?!! What's the point of having the access panel for only 2 tanks and the a third down away from it by the axels???? AGAIN, STUPID DESIGN. There's lots of covered spaces that could have been converted to better storage in the kitchen. The pantry should have drawers instead of shelves. The "surround system" worked for a few months. One outdoor speaker stopped working and no quality sound, just treble. Can't connect the "surround" to the television for better sound. Not a smart TV, which I'm fine with. We would have picked a unit without a microwave and just overhead light/exhaust with more storage space. The microwave comes on by itself randomly and lights up with the carousel slowly turning, as it's a replacement because the first button panel didn't work. JUNK. The double door Refrigerator needed warranty repair as it would only work on propane. Not going to jinx myself by saying it's been good since. The self leveling feature is not accurate. We will perform self level three times back to back and it will be in three different positions. We must manually level with the controls. The over kitchen water detecting fan opened on its own during a rain when we were away and fried the circuit board. Luckily it was under warranty with a recall so they sent a new board. Waiting to swap that out. I like the easy to pull out couch bed. You pull it out with a tab and push it back in to go back to couch. easy. The entertainment center is very limited for storage. They wasted A LOT of space. They could have built a retraction unit behind the fireplace and placed a window since you have very little view on that back side of the unit. TV out of the way since it's hardly used. Also a window could have been placed above the stove to help with that blind side of the trailer. The driver's side of the trailer has very little places to see out. Winter is a hassle. You'd think they'd place some snaps or channels to install panels to keep under the trailer from freezing. NOPE. Tried to make the least hokie setup work. tsk tsk. I wish I could say I loved it. Out of everything my biggest pet peeves is the slides hanging, the small water heater tank and the door opening on the wrong side.

Tall and blocky enough to blow all over the road unless you spend an extra $2500 on an obscene hitch setup. Neither the heat nor the ac work without being connected to shore power, even though the heat is propane based. The fridge flies open going down the road with any minor bump, spilling its contents on the floor. The hot water heater was inoperative brand new, the air vents come with nothing to improve quality of life, half the windows don’t open. The materials used are cheap and flimsy and start to disintegrate after the very first use, the storage compartments are lined with cheap pressboard so any decent packing results in the destruction of the compartment itself, the floor plan was decent, except that they cluttered stuff in there to absorb the space and left everything as basic as possible. Save yourself the trouble, find a used camper that doesn’t come from Coleman. Save twice the money, get twice the quality. This thing is junk. True blue junk.

We Love the floor plan with the bunkhouse its great when camping with our grandkids, Towability is fine no issues. There were 2 areas with small panels with 2 screws each. One is under the bathroom sink which was empty. where the drain pipe goes out and under the camper. The hole was way over sized and you could see right through. I fixed the hole and we now use it as storage. the other was right under the pantry this one has the shore line wire going through it. I wonder why there was such a big waste of space? I was going to relocate it but decided to leave it alone. The over all fit and finish and quality of materials not so good. I went to hang a TV mount there was nothing to tell me location of supports. I called Dutchmen they said to contact the dealer i said you all built it Dutchman still said ask your dealer, i figured it out myself. NOT HELPFULL AT ALL! So after that I doubt I would get another Dutchmen RV.

Overall best experience I have ever had in a camper. So many memories shared with my wife and 4 yr old son living full time no complaints whatsoever. My 4 yr old definitely put the camper to the test like a toddlers do and it is built tough. I absolutely love the hidden pantry out of sight behind the fireplace for 2 reasons the magnet is very strong to keep the little one from being able to get inside and secondly it’s an awesome talking piece when family and friends are over and see a door open they didn’t know existed. The bunk beds have more than enough space for a teenager to sleep on and the master bedroom is a perfect size. I’ve been full time living in this camper almost a year without a single appliance or material inside or outside the camper showing any sign of concern. If you’re looking for a camper that won’t break the budget that is built to last I would definitely consider the KODIAK ULTRA LITE 296BHSL.

This is my 4th camper. I love the floor plan and layout. This camper has the most solid floor out of all the campers I have owned. I splurged and bought the tankless water heater. Best thing ever. It is very efficient. I cook one meal everyday and shower once a day. It came with two 30 pound propane tanks and I have been using it for 5 months now and still have not refilled the propane once. This camper is very nice and Im happy with my choice. That being said. One thing EVERYONE must realize is all campers nowadays are being built cheaper. With cheaper materials and craftsmanship to make then lightweight and affordable. As long as you take care of it, and dont have a bunch of rowdy kids in it. It will last you many years. I was lucky to have bought mine in South Carolina at Optimal rv . Awesome sales guy and unbelievable service from the dealership. It had a few small issues at 1st. But the dealership service manager DJ sent people to my camp ground and fixed everything on site. Thats 100% customer service at its best. No extra trouble for me . So I have yet to need anything from factory warranty. I know this from experience. DO NOT BUY, OR "TRY TO HAVE" SERVICED ANYTHING FROM CAMPER WORLD. 🤮 Go anywhere but there.
