This Beaver Winchester III 44' offers the best of Beaver quality and amenities with modern updates too. The coach provides extraordinary living and storage space due to the full length slide. The living area is very open with no obstructions and the TV is out of the way in the ceiling until you want to use it. The bath is spacious and opulent and the bedroom is luxurious and private.
Custom Sewing Suite - The rear office area and closet have been custom designed into a sewing suite with room for a Serger and a Sewing Machine. The desk tops are cut from Corian solid surface exactly matching the existing Corian in the coach. The desk top has fold-out panels for fabric management and sewing accessories and a covered hidden storage space at your fingertips. The sewing machine top is designed to be cut for drop-in mounting (based on a Juki TL2010-Q) but has not been cut in case you want to use a different machine or use the space as an office.
The closet has been fitted with shelves and drawers for fabric, trims and tools. Also provided in the closet is a 36” x 24” work table with cutting board. The floor is covered in a Tile-covered plywood surface to allow the char to roll smoothly. And for those larger projects a portable knock-down cutting table 7' x 4' can be laid out on the bed. When not in use it is stored against the wall on a custom stand and is strapped for safe travel.
Of course if you don't need a sewing suite the complete closet and flooring can be restored to the original factory condition with the half wall, mirrored sliding doors and window cornice box. (original doors and window cornice have been kept)
New Equipment Installed
Two Samsung Home Theatre Bluray packages are provided with surround-sound speakers and sub-woofer, these were installed replacing obsolete Sony equipment.
Front TV Samsung UHD 4K 48” folds up taking no wall space. Replaces 40” 2007 Sony.
Bedroom TV Sharp UHD 4K 42” in original location. Replaces 32” 2007 Sony.
The coach is wired for 1GB ethernet at the front desk, in the electronics cabinet and in the front storage bins for network storage or other equipment.
An external 4G / WiFi / GPS antenna is provided for cellular data or superior WiFi signal.
A commercial Cellular Modem/WiFi/Ethernet/Switch with Verizon high data limit service (500GB/month) may be available to the buyer. Please inquire if interested.
The third bay has a manual full-slide tray added for easy access. This is in addition to the two existing electric trays.
A magnetically attached 95% windshield sun screen is provided for privacy and to cut the summer heating when parked.
All internal 12V ceiling lamps are Philips LED that use 10% of the original Halogen lamp power, no more circuit overloads when all lights are on. And they will likely never need replacement.
All drawer sliders have been replaced with heavy-duty ball-bearing soft closing units. Now all drawers open and close easily and smoothly.
Whole-house type Power Surge Suppressors ($150 each) have been installed on the main power panel and the generator power panel to protect all electrical equipment.
The Roof was resealed at Beaver Service in Bend OR in November 2015. At that time a complete service was performed and all awning seams were re-sewn.
The Aqua-Hot has been overhauled with new motor, bearings, control box and expansion tank for trouble-free operation.
Bed replaced with a memory-foam mattress for great support. We've used these for over 20 years and swear by them.
Why You Want to Buy This Beaver:
Simple, for the money nothing comes close to this Beaver Patriot Thunder in value, quality and features. Since we want to feel “at home” in this class of RV we think these are the most important.
Real Cherrywood Interiors throughout with fine finishing. Simply beautiful and in original condition. All window sills, flat surfaces and the shower are Corian solid surface for beauty and long life. And should a scratch happen Corian can easily be repaired without difficulty.
A real usable kitchen with good counter room, double sink and double burner gas cooktop is provided. And the exceptional Sharp R-1874F microwave/convection oven is overhead. Two kitchen pantry areas for common items and a full height slide-out pantry next to the refrigerator are provided. The refrigerator is a Jenn-Aire 22CF residential electric side-by-side. If you want to give up a pot drawer a dishwasher could be added too.
The full-sized Corian lined shower with glass curved door is wonderful to use. I'm 6'-1”, not small and have room to spare. For convenience Corian shower bins are built-in for soaps, wash cloths and shampoos. When using either city water or pump water (with a pressure tank) and Aqua-Hot providing hot water a good shower is always ready. And you won't run out of water with a 100 gallon fresh water tank. For convenience the bathroom is accessible from both bedroom and living area by two doors. The Thetford Tecma toilet is a wonder. It never clogs, macerates and is a porcelain first-class unit, just push the button and done. And a floor to ceiling storage cabinet is also part of the bathroom for all your towels, supplies and health products.
Storage is everywhere, above the windows, in the kitchen, in a 5' side closet with mirror doors, in the bedroom slideout, in the back 5' closet (converted for sewing storage). The 30' full length slide is a revelation in the amount of space it adds. Exterior storage is provided in three full width bays all with slider trays (18”, 24” and 36”). The 24” and 36” are electric so no matter how heavy they open with the touch of a button. Bay lighting is also provided so you can see in the dark.
Flooring is easy to clean tile ceramic tile in the living area and carpeting in the bedroom and slides. A built-in central vacuum cleaner makes a quick job of dirt.
The upgraded dining area and front office full length cabinets were installed as in the top-of-the-line Beaver Moonstone coach. This special feature is not shown in the 2007 Beaver Patriot brochure. I gives yet 10' more storage and a 10 foot by 12” wide top to use as you wish.
With an Aqua-Hot system providing hot water, space heating (3-zones) and engine pre-heat you never run out of heat or hot water. Runs on coach Diesel fuel and 110V electric power so that propane is used only for cooking. From experience we know the Aqua-Hot will keep the coach comfortable even when the outside Temp is below 30F.
Three ceiling 12,000 BTU Air Conditioner/Heat Pumps that cool and heat (down to about 40F) keep you comfortable. With double-pane insulated windows and complete window shades the heat stays in or out.
All double pane slide-openable windows are provided with day/night shades, a heavy drapery and a decorative Cherry wood cornice box. This provides sunlight when desired, partial shading or complete blackout for privacy.
My wife swears by the separate front loading Maytag washer and dryer stacked units. These work very well and since they are separate units the time needed is much less than with a combined unit. The cleaning is comparable to a quality home machine.
No shore power? No problem with a 10KW Onan generator on board with 400 hours of use. With an electric transfer switch going from shore power to generator or back is simple. With 150 gallons of Diesel you can run the generator and Aqua-Hot for a long time. And you still have a 2800W pure sine inverter when you park for a short time and don't want to fire up the generator.
Automatic hydraulic leveling is great. Leave the engine on and press a few buttons and the coach will level itself. Switch off the engine and you're done. Or leave the jacks up and use the air leveling.
Want to have a shaded picnic or keep the car out of the sun? With double Girard awnings you can do both at the same time.
Hydraulic Slides run from a separate system operated from the batteries. Push-button operation is simple to use and trouble-free.
Power provided by a Cat C13 525HP engine with 875 total hours and an Allison 4000 transmission. Climbs the continental divide with ease pulling a 3,800 pound toad. And since this is a 2007 model this engine has No Particulate Filter and No Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF). That translates into lower operating and maintenance costs. Last engine / chassis service July 2016. Air filter replaced March 2016.
Mileage is 40K miles at time of listing. Tires are Yokohama size 295/80R22.5 date coded 2312 and 3112 without sidewall cracking.
Winegard electric rotatable HD antenna. Adjust for your local TV from inside by pushing a button.
Two rooftop Satellite Antennas (Front and Rear). We don't use them but they are MotoSat brand with two antenna controllers. The rear antenna is equipped with a Hughes satellite internet modem too.
The holding tanks are large, FW 100, GW 70, BW 40 so they won't need service often when you are not on a sewer connection. Dump valves are easily accessible and trouble free. While there is a Sani-Con macerator we never need to use it. The Thetford Tecma toilet does the job very well.
Note: All photos are of this specific coach only and were taken at different times. The coach is accurately shown in these photos. The chair for the front office is not included. The sconce lamp on the dining wall has been replaced with a LED unit.
